The Villa Toscana Guest House - Featured Reviews (113)
Villa Toscana was an amazing place to stay in the heart of Boystown! The room was clean and comfortable and it was very clear on how to get in touch with the owners if needed. Check in and check out was very easy and I was able to do all of that online so very convenient. We received multiple emails leading up to our stay that allowed for special requests (such as requesting parking passes) and also included a very clear map on where we were okay to park. The little garden in front was very tranquil and pleasant to sit and relax in. I cannot speak highly enough of the villa and the owners - we will definitely be back next time we come to Chicago!
Especially given, the price we paid, we honestly had a great experience. The bed was extremely comfortable, we didn’t run into any other guests on premise, it was hassle free, the breakfast was a great self serve spread, bathroom was clean and had no issues, door codes worked exactly as they should, and owner was very friendly when we bumped into him walking into breakfast. The front yard/outside seating area was so dreamy and lush, and it just had the best quaint little romantic bed and breakfast vibe. Air conditioning worked great, location was hard to beat, and with quiet hours enforced for all guests after ten, we slept so peacefully. Def would recommend for travelers looking for good places to crash for the night.
Location, Location! This is a perfect spot if you are attending any event at Wrigley Stadium. Just about a 10 min walk to there and the Addison train station if you want to go downtown. The care taker was very attentive. The room was cozy. Loved the ease and security of the code locks. Lots of great places to eat with in walking distance. Breakfast was continental. Loved the coffee station downstairs. Great neighborhood and free parking! You have to make sure to let the owner know ahead of time. We found a great spot to park around the corner. I highly recommend Villa Toscana. Great spot for my first trip to Chicago. I would definitely stay there again!
Immediately we were greeted with the cutest dog, Chaco! He was friendly without being invasive and it was such a warm (and fuzzy!) welcome! The owners were very relaxed and helpful with any recommendations. They’ve managed to keep the beautiful charm of the historic building (especially the garden courtyard!), while having updated amenities. The bed was SO comfy and everything felt very clean. For the affordable price with that location, I will definitely be back!
The location is terrific, but this house is in such disrepair. I booked the entire place to host a young cancer survivor's reunion and picked this place as it appears to be a nice Victorian-style house. However, the group I was with had a few adjustments and the host wouldn't accommodate us and was just plain rude. It's technically a BnB, but is located right next to clubs (it's loud!) and is really grimy. We experienced mold in bathrooms, exposed electrical wiring, stains, squishy floors - you name it. I let the host know about the state of their property and they wouldn't respond, so I expect I won't be the last to suffer through a really unpleasant stay. I recommend steering clear of this place!
This was such a pleasant place to retreat to after enjoying the hustle and bustle of the city. They’ve created a little oasis with seating inside of a garden, quaint rooms, and surprising privacy. The communication is impeccable and you have all that you need for the perfect experience.
Awesome, quaint little B&B in downtown Chicago. Lovely front seating area back from the street. Restaurants and bars close by. Short walk to the lakeshore. Near Wrigley Field (which is why I was in town). Looking for way to bringing my wife with me the next time I’m in Chicago.
Feels like a bona fide inn! Check in was quick and easy all things considered. Make sure to read check in instructions *thoroughly*, especially if you’re new to b&b style establishments. I personally had trouble with check in because I missed some details. There are no staff on site but I was assisted via text. All in all if you’re looking for an eclectic room in a lovely neighborhood this is where it’s at :D
Amazing Italian Villa in a great location! We had a wonderful stay from the welcome wine in the beautiful kitchen stocked with many yummy food items and delicious local coffee to our private, comfy âVenetianâ suite. Don was very accommodating
My son absolutely loves LifeTough Kids Boxing. He is in his second session, now in intermediates and we canât wait to see where the next level takes him. The coaches are absolutely incredible and the time and dedication they put towards the kids
In Chicago and stopped by this place. Grand opening for them. Wonderful people with a great spirit overall. Had a chance to dive into the whole thing of coffee coming from Ethiopia after meeting their African-American roaster of coffee. Lovely time -
I'm writing this review after taking a full year of classes at Vibez. Initially, I bought class packs and then signed up for the monthly membership (8 classes a month) once I knew it was a good fit. Over the course of 2023, I lost more than 20 pounds
Ive been coming to the Garage Gym heavy AF classes for 6 weeks now and absolutely love them! I was previously just doing one class a week and purchased the five pack, but I decided to move forward with a membership to start going multiple times a wee
I recently joined CrossFit Park Ridge and hands down, best choice Iâve made. Very warm and welcoming community. Workouts are challenging and never boring. And coaches are great! My only regret is not joining sooner.

This apartment was a great find for us. We had 4 adults and 5 kids and had plenty of space to fit us all comfortably. Importantly for our group the kitchen is well equipped - there have been many places we've stayed where there aren't enough bowls an
I tell all my friends who visit Chicago, or move there to check out Fly Club. The instructors are top-tier and it's a privilege to have so much talent in one facility. The spaces are beautiful, and the community is very welcoming. Even if you're a gu
We love Cafe Calida so much. We came here our last two mornings of our trip and regretted not coming earlier. Great menu with delicious pastries. My husband got a mocha and I got a Chai latte and they were both so delicious. Our first morning we came
Pizza was great. I love this style of pizza. Itâs a great place for a low key date night. Prices were extremely reasonable, especially for the quality. It is a family run business, the family has 2 generations of pizza making experience. Itâs a s
