Absolutely the best place to stay in Murphy's. The location is so amazing. Great accomodations, very charming, staff is excellent. Our room was ready on time and we were given a warm welcome. Our room was clean and gorgeous. Love that it's just a short walk to all the stores and wineries on Main Street. We had the best time. Highly recommend.
We stayed in the Eucalyptus Suite, which is just as lovely in person as in the photos. And very thoughtfully appointed - everything including a USB hub, corkscrew, flashlight, chess set and even salt and pepper in the well equipped kitchenette. However, this room is not especially senior friendly. We are in our 70s, reasonably fit and healthy, but do try to avoid situations where we could fall. The bed's mattress came up to my waist. I was able to use the provided bed steps to get in, but had to carefully slide down and sort of thump to the floor to exit. My husband, who is taller, was able to sort of hop in. The beautiful tub was too tall for us to feel comfortable getting in and out of, so we relied on sink baths during our stay. If you are younger, fitter or less cautious, you will love this room. Otherwise, give it some thought. The included continental breakfast was very nice and the lovely woman in charge of it could not have been more welcoming. All the employees were great. In general you will be happy staying here.
Great location, right off the main street with easy access to a variety of restaurants and shops. Surprisingly quiet. We were only aware of other guests a few times when they were talking as they walked down the hallway. The breakfast offered was simple, but more than promised. I wish is was served a little earlier to accommodate guests that want to get out early in the morning for a hike or similar before the summer heat kicks in. Since they don't have private parking you may have to do a little strategizing to get a spot in the lot next to the property sometimes, but it wasn't a serious problem. There's plenty of free parking on the street nearby.
We always stay at the Victoria Inn when visiting Murphys. The staff is great, rooms are comfortable and location is so convenient to walk around downtown! The Sycamore room was our favorite until we stayed in Sweetwater…very roomy, nice windows and a bathtub in the living room if you want to soak. They offer a light breakfast that we’ve not tried since we usually have brunch downstairs at grounds restaurant.
We had a wonderful time! During what was meant to be our first night, the power went out due to a local wildfire. The staff was so accommodating, especially when we ultimately decided to go home and try our trip again the next day (2 night stay). Since the room we had booked wouldn't be available the second night, they upgraded our room at no charge! The staff is so kind and inviting and the rooms are beautiful. The only downside is the beds are much more firm than what we prefer, but overall we still loved our little getaway!
I literally loved my room so much! That I now consider it “My Room” and will be requesting it every time I return. Beautiful balcony. Gorgeous linens. Everything well appointed. 200% recommend staying here. Lovely staff. Yummy breakfast. Great location. Also there’s cookies!!!
Clean, nice and cool room. We stayed in the Fireside Room which had a great clawfoot tub that my wife loved, balcony overlooking the street and large shower. Nice details like a mandarin shower steamer, water bottles, wine key and makeup wipes. Walkable to anything on the main drag of Murphey’s. Continental breakfast served was impressive. Various bagels, cream cheese, fresh avocado, jams, yogurt, fruit salad, Aussie bites, pastries, hard boiled eggs, orange juice and tasty coffee. Linda, who serves the breakfast was a gem, definitely went the extra mile to help us plan the next leg of our trip! Overall, would highly recommend The Victoria Inn.
The roon exceeded my expectations. Lange and quite. And a short distance from the main strip in Murphys. Staff were very attentive and helpful. The metal roof would pop when the air changed. But not a big deal. We got use to it quickly. Would definitely stay here again.
We loved everything ordered. Beer is always great. The food even better. Didnât get a photo of the plates we had for lunch but will come back and try more options.
The cave itself is really interesting. Good pacing in the tour even though it's quite a ways down a 160 feet, the the gift shop is friendly and easy to navigate. The outside area has lots of shaded areas when you're waiting for the tour to start or j
I recently took the two hour drive from the Rocklin area to see Patti La Belle and Gladys Knight at the Ironstone Amphitheatre. We purchased reserved seats. Great view of the stage. And for those who would rather watch their live performance with an
Very spacious room although a bit old and heater a bit dated. We got a suit with a living room and one bed room, easily could sleep 5 for prices that are just 1 queen bed else where. The service is good and very accommodating. Location good, right n
Love the GF crust. Half salads nice and big. Delicious pinnacle beer. Wonderful outdoorsy setting with view of the street. We came for the Firewood Pizza but plan on exploring the cute town with lots of wineryâs.
