Full disclosure, used to hang here 50 years ago when supper was a 40 oz bottle of Strohs and a pizza. Didn't expect the Strohs but disappointed they did not have pizza. Food was tasty, more of a hipster cool thing, like goat cheese balls and tofu jambalaya.
Server came to our table twice, then disappeared when her shift was over, without notice. Had to hunt down the bar manager to pay the bill.

We started off with the breaded mushrooms very good, I had the chicken tender basket, which the cook did an awesome job on the chicken tenders. My husband had oyster po Boy he also enjoyed his food
Stoped in this gem today for breakfast at Erie St Kitchen but given its Saturday and game day, there was a bump ordered from Venice Cafe. Beautiful presentation and delightful delivery!
I had the chicken Banh Mi basket. It was great! Nice & hot, Hubby had cheeseburger, & other 2 people had lobster bisque. All outstanding.
The menu says Erie Street Kitchen, but it is inside The Venice. I went on a Saturday night at 6:30, and it was pretty busy. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. You order food at a counter and wait for it to be delivered to your table. We had a chicken tender po boy with hushpuppies and a lobster roll with lobster bisque. My friend liked his po boy and when asked if he would order it again he said absolutely. My lobster roll was the best one I've ever had. I travel for a living and have had them in many cities on the coast and was shocked to sample one that was so tasty and jammed full of meat this far from an ocean.
Horriable ownership. Was super rude to us simply playing pool during dinner time..why have pool tables if Your going to be rude to the players? Owner acted as an employee then laughed when we asked for a manager and turned around to him. Place is a joke.
Back in town to visit with friends and it was so disappointing to come back to somewhere we used to love to go, and it was so unwelcoming. The bartender made us feel like she was annoyed when we were deciding on drinks, it was uncomfortable. We won't bother to come back in next time we come to visit Kent.

This is a a great Pub! The patrons are chill and there to enjoy the time there. The night we went was 7/8/23 and there was live music on first floor, dance DJ on third floor and many people hanging out on patio. Returning to visit Kent as an KSU alum
