This is my third visit to The Velvet Note, and it just keeps getting better! The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the owner, Tamara, is always on hand to make sure her guests have a great experience. The venue itself is intimate and cozy, with amazing acoustics that make it the perfect place to enjoy live music.I recently saw the Kristin Tinsley show, and it was absolutely incredible. Kristin is a talented vocalist with a powerful voice that can fill a room. She was backed by a band of seasoned musicians who played with passion and precision. The setlist included a mix of Stevie Nicks's greatest hits, and Kristin's storytelling between songs was engaging and entertaining. Before the show, we decided to indulge in the extensive menu, which features a variety of delectable dishes. To complement our meal, we enjoyed some of the venue's signature cocktails, which were crafted with fresh ingredients and were expertly mixed. The Velvet Note is a true gem of a venue, and I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the Alpharetta area. Whether you're a jazz aficionado or just looking for a great night out, The Velvet Note is sure to please.
Definitely the absolute BEST crab cake I have EVER tasted! Great vibe, great service and delicious food. This place is a hidden gem. 2 thumbs up!
We had a great time. Very cozy atmosphere to get the full experience of the performers. We saw the Ray Howard Band - Celebrates Luther Vandross. The band was exceptional. We will be back again.
What an amazing, cozy, intimate space! Literally feet away from fantastic musicians and performers. We even saw Larry Carlton here last Fall. Food is good. Drinks are great. Servers are efficient and stealthy during performances. I can't recommend this joint enough. Find a show, get tickets, grab a drink and something to munch on, and enjoy the show. You will be impressed.
It's probably the best acoustics I've ever heard at a venue like this! The house band is great, and open mic had a variety of talent. The owner is such a sweet woman. You can tell she loves what she does. The venue is very small, so make a reservation in advance. Older crowd overall but a very nice vibe. The drinks are strong and well made and there's plenty of parking. I'll definitely be back.
The Velvet Note in Alpharetta is a delightful wonderful jazz cafe that has superb entertainment with outstanding jazz musicians ranging from world-famous household names to up-and-coming talent and everyone in between! This is a very small venue which adds to the cool, jazz, café, ambience, (think cool hip “smoky jazz café but without the smoke), great for a night out with friends and family, romantic date, and solo. The crowd is usually enthusiastic, dedicated, jazz lovers, who truly enjoy the amazing talent that graces Alpharetta with the finest jazz. Recently I enjoyed local trumpeter Tiffany Goode with her amazing band and also local (GA) pianist Greg Satterthwaite with his outstanding band that played with him. Both shows were exceptional!! Both shows had their respective CD’s which I am enjoying now at home and in car… The menu is really great here. I’ve enjoyed several dishes and of course a wide selection of drinks. You get to meet and talk with the musicians after the show. There’s an open mic night on Thursdays which I’ve heard from several people is really good. I was an early fan of the Velvet Note, since it opened, as it was so great to have a place in Alpharetta open for live jazz! I think it’s helped bring jazz and great musicians to the “northern suburbs” to expose locals to new talented jazz musicians and promote new artists. (Thank goodness) the owner, Tamara, is a gem, so inspiring to have this business … I know it hasn’t been easy, but Tamara, we’re thankful and indebted to you for The Velvet Note! (And congratulations on your MBA!!!) Be sure you check out The Velvet Note no matter where in metro ATL you live!
I went here for the Ray Howards Band’s Very Soulful Christmas and it was AMAZING! The atmosphere of the place completely sets the mood with the low lighting and cozy, comfortable seating (great service too) and of course the band was phenomenal. The musicians are so talented and it was so fun to dance to! If jazz and/or soul music isn’t your thing, this place will change your mind! And if you already love that kind of music, you can’t miss it. This place is awesome and everyone should come here.
This place is truly a gem! Celebrating 11 years! This the one spot on Alpharetta that I know I can find wonderful music, a relaxed atmosphere and great drinks and food. Make sure to always buy your tickets in advance, they will sell out most times.

Itâs absolutely amazing place. Ron and Cici are amazing. It feels like, small close knit community. Hope they also open a center close to work in Lawrenceville, GA. They put a welcome note for new joiners & a thank you card which is very touching.
Allowed me to participate in one of his sessions. Went straight to working on my foot work and form. Im a martial artist for over two decades and now looking for a place that can teach me boxing techniques. The boxing facility is small but quality. I

Coach Dustyn is fantastic! My son has trained with him on and off for a few years and has been back with him regularly now for a few months at Moore Sports Performance. Dustyn pushes him out of his comfort zone and holds him accountable but does so i
