The UPS Store - Shipping and mailing service in Cullman - 1236 Cullman Shopping Center NW, USA

I made a special trip 20 miles out of my way to go to the Cullman Alabama store Saturday 8/3/24. I checked the internet to assure the store was open. I got there and the store was closed. Sign on the door said Short Help. Closed Today. They could hade adjusted their web page to save this trip. Another lady walked up to the door just as I did. She said that is the second time for her.

I had a great experience trying to return several items and the kind person walked me through and never once was unkind towards me, even though a lot of what I had brought in was truly in tatters. The staff was kind, courteous, and helpful. Hopefully the next time I am in here it is to send off a package and not because of a damaged item.

AWFUL. UPS Cullman location beside Pet Smart. Meanest staff I’ve ever dealt with. I turned right around and went to Mailers Unlimited down the street and will go there for all my shipping needs and it was SO MUCH CHEAPER AND NO NASTY MANAGEMENT. This was Tuesday April 16 2024 4:35pm

Went to the UPS store on a Friday at 8:30 am and it was closed. The hours by the door and google maps show that they open at 7:30 am. I had to drive quite a ways to reach the store.

At 6:03 pm 2/9/24 I walked in the open, unlocked door to drop off a package that was already labeled…a very rude young lady said “WE’RE CLOSED”! I said, oh my bad, I was just dropping this off, to which she replied, “Well we’re STILL closed”. Now, I can understand that it was after store hours and maybe she couldn’t do something on her end because of that, 3 minutes after closing,,,with an unlocked door,,,,, but her ATTITUDE was completely uncalled for. I work in retail. I had a customer in my store 15 minutes after closing today. I was still nice, because that’s what decent people do. There was no need for her attitude.

The staff at this location have always given me excellent service even during crowded holiday times. Packages are well-tracked and delivered intact. There are cheaper alternatives, but not with the same reliability.

My mother who struggles sometimes with her almonia levels came in to this store and the young lady at the desk was not helpful. She actually had my mother in tears because she couldn’t figure out how to pull up her barcode to return something. The more upset she got the more confused she became. She left there feeling defeated. A little compassion would have been nice.

This location used to be wonderful! The old team was knowledgeable, quick, efficient, and kind. Recently a new team has come in… They didn’t seem to understand a simple poster print job. Had to point out the paper I wanted behind the employee. I was the only in the store when I walked in, but waited for over 40 minutes for my two simple, one-page prints to be completed. Also, I’ve never been told they could only print PDF. I’ve printed multiple image files before, but was told I had to convert them and resend. I don’t know if this is a new UPS policy, or if the new staff just didn’t know how. I used to use this location often for printing for the nonprofit I worked for. I won’t be using again unless something changes.
