We we’re boating on Lake Lanier when we stopped at this restaurant to get some hot drinks and some appetizers. Easy dock access, you just have to walk up a little hill. Scenic views. The restaurant itself feels warm and comfortable. Very friendly staff. The appetizers we ordered were decent. The pretzel was delicious and so was the Dijon mustard, but the cheese sauce left something to be desired. I was also not super impressed with the seafood (shrimp & crab) dip, which was one of the most expensive appetizers. It was just OK and definitely needed a few more pita chips. I’d still recommend checking this place out and am sure it’s a ton of fun during busy season.
Went for Sunday brunch. Place was quite full when we got there, however, service was still slower than expected for a busy restaurant. Drinks took about 10 minutes to arrive and was served in plastic disposable cups. Cutlery was also of the black disposable plastic kind. Avocado on toast was sub par, but the chicken tacos were flavorful and a decent portion. Don't think we will be back but glad we made the trip out.
I came here with my family and really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and lake views. Had Jada as a server and she brought our drinks out super fast and made sure we were well taken care of. Will be recommending to friends!
We only had an appetizer. Went there for happy hour and to see area/ marina while visiting Lake Lanier. Servers were very friendly. They really need a bigger sign to identify The Twisted Oar. We are not from area & only saw the "crew" black t-shirts in parking lot that we thought to stop by.
I ordered pork skins and a coconut shrimp platter. The pork skins were fantastic and can feed 3 people. The coconut shrimp platter, the most expensive item on the menu at $23 came with less shrimp than most restaurants serve as an appetizer. With only 4 shrimp I was extremely disappointed. The shrimp are not cooked fresh either, they are frozen and fried which I can easily do at home for much cheaper. I was hoping for a higher quality going to a restaurant. The curly fries were no longer crispy after astonishingly only 10 minutes 😢. The ceaser salad is trash from the first bite
We came for the first time around 1pm on a Thursday and was surprised to see how busy they were. Drinks were good but slow at coming out. There was a separate drink menu that I happened to notice online and asked the server about besides the few items listed on the menu. There is also a beer menu. Server was friendly and didn’t rush us to order and allowed us to enjoy our cocktails. The grouper fingers are a bit small to be considered a “shareable” and pricey for the amount. They were delicious though. The fish and chips were also great but we think someone double seasoned the onion straws cause they very salty. The peanut pie is good but seems store bought. The funnel cake fries were amazing. Lots of seating~covered & uncovered with lots of big screen TVs. Bathrooms nice & clean. Lots of ducks in the area & the patio is dog friendly
This wasn’t the most diverse of places to put it nicely. We weren’t particularly uncomfortable but I could understand how some people might feel that way coming here. We did have to wait a really long time to even order our food which was annoying. Then when the food came we were disappointed. The waffle burger was good but everything else was just ok.
Great little lake side restaurant! The food was fresh and super delicious. Perfect casual spot for lunch or dinner.

I had fun, my uncle came to play in a band. The atmosphere was unique. Personally, I would just watch the show and skip the food.
The mac and cheese were disgusting, and the best wings are the BBQ wings, but there's better places. Don't eat the blue
