I've decided this is my go to bar to bring everyone when we meet up from family, friends, coworkers, day drinking etc. I like the theme nights, bingo, trivia, bands, etc. I want business to go well from them so they open with kitchen & its profitable all week. Foods amazing...good "no mess behaved" atmosphere. My go to place. Bartenders and everyone are nice.
I've come here multiple times with a friend of mine who is in a wheelchair and we've never had an issue getting into this establishment prior to the new ownership. Tonight my friend was denied access to the establishment due to them denying him the ability to use the only wheelchair accessible entrance. They cited the reasoning as an event going on in the hall portion of the building. In the past we've hurried through any events that may have been taking place and never disturbed or bothered anyone. This place used to be a great venue to hang out at but this is the end of our ties to this place. Highly disappointing, hurtful, and offensive. If you're disabled or need any form of accommodation don't expect this place to help you out.
I recently had the pleasure of re-visiting this establishment and overall, it was a delightful experience. The service provided was outstanding, with a friendly and accommodating staff that made me feel welcome. The atmosphere was charming and contributed to the overall enjoyment of my visit. Additionally, the selection of beers available was impressive, allowing me to indulge in a satisfying beverage.
Past experience: Personal Tastes and Considerations
While the Devil's Eggs were not as exceptional as advertised, I recognize that taste preferences can vary significantly. It is important to note that my opinion on this particular dish may not align with others'. Furthermore, the chicken wings were larger than my personal preference, and unfortunately, they were not as crispy or well done as I had hoped. However, I want to emphasize that these aspects did not overshadow the positive aspects of my experience.
Update: A Diverse Menu
One of the notable strengths of this establishment is the extensive menu. There is a wide variety of options to choose from, catering to different tastes and preferences. Although I personally lean towards a more classic bar menu, I appreciate the effort to provide diverse choices. It is worth noting that while in the past some dishes were more towards sophisticated restaurant-style cuisine, there are now plenty of options that offer the beloved and nostalgic flavors of traditional American bar food.
Looking Ahead
I genuinely enjoyed my time at this establishment and I look forward to returning in the future for more memorable experiences. The overall ambiance, wonderful service, and pleasant atmosphere make it a place that I would gladly revisit. Thank you for providing a great experience, and I eagerly anticipate my next visit.
We worked with Jonathan and the staff and they were all lovely. The ease of menu planning was so helpful. The staff were attentive and professional—from the waitstaff, bussers and bartenders. Jonathan was so easy to work with and wanted nothing more than to make our party enjoyable.
The food was excellent—everyone complimented us on our food options. The dessert ice cream bar was a hit.
We will be sure to book future party events here (we previously had parties when it was the Russian Hall).
This is my second time ordering for 4 from The Ties. They're apparently under new ownership. Their indoor looks are no different from my last time. It was noticeably quieter since i didn't hear music. Service was okay, but not as good as the last time. We enjoyed our meals. I liked my sandwich (grilled chicken caprese) more than the others enjoyed their meals. However, my crunchie fries weren't as crunchy as I wanted. This might have been a result of them being in a container that didn't permit the stream to escape. I still enjoyed them, though.
A must go experience. People are warm, friendly and welcoming and the history of the location and architecture is very intriguing. I will definitely be looking forward to inviting everyone!
My first time, it looks like a pretty good place. Excellent appetizers and pretty good menu selections. I had a beef cheesesteak, and it was great, not your fast food kind.
NJSBUA Annual Banquet.
Set Menu but varied and all fresh/delicious

Been here a few times before. Got a sesame ahi taco and truffle yucca fries today. A lot of flavor packed into that taco and the fries were salty and savory with a little crunch. A smidge on the expensive side. This and a drink was over $15.
been coming to big daddy's for years, it is a great place to get "dirtywater" dogs. there are 15+ mouth-watering specialty dogs year round, plus seasonal specials and you can also choose your own toppings. pricing is great ($2.75 for a specialty d
