DO NOT STAY HERE!|The Low Tide Motel is more like it. The room hasn't been cleaned and no towels replaced in 6 days. The manager told me cleaning and towels are by request only. As for the room, check the photos. When the mini window air conditioner turns on the lights dim. Don't turn the shower up too much unless you want to wade in the water. I just hope I don't get copd staying in the non-smoking room. Also if you do stay here you'd best bring an interpreter. There's not any motels nearby but the drive will be worth it!

Sewage pipe broke. They changed our room and tried to charge more. There were people selling drugs walking around the property. The owners were aware of it. The pool was slimy and there are campers on the property that are occupied. Definitely not safe or clean. Do not bring your family here

This is probably the nicest motel I have ever stayed in. It was clean, in a good spot, and the staff was kind. The outside of the building does look rough and can use a clean-up. There is a lot of garbage in the front and around various corners. My only complaint about the actual room was that it was very hot and the thermostat was broken, they do provide an AC and fan that helps a little. Also, the only shampoo, conditioner, and body wash they put in the room was a 3-in-1 kids' wash and bubble bath. Other than that the beach is right across the street, with plenty of stores, restaurants, and an adventure park. We stayed for a show at UBS arena which is a 40-minute drive from the motel but it was simple and felt much faster. Overall I recommend it!

The room had a horrible smell and was in poor condition. There was trash left from previous guests, and the headboard was not connected to the bed. Additionally, instead of proper chairs, we were provided with metal folding chairs. I do not recommend booking this room.

I accompanied my husband to his Class Reunion and since I’ve never been to NY, this was our monthly vacation (June 17-21). First, the outside of this place was as expected, I googled this lodging prior to making the room reservations. My husband and I knew what to look for. No surprise there. The exterior is kind of a “drab”. It does look rundown. Check in wasn’t too bad; I had a hard time understanding the lady behind the glass partition (language barrier) and I’m sure she couldn’t understand my Southern accent (lol). I was offered the opportunity to upgrade to a “Suite” and I’m glad I did. It was upstairs and my husband stated AND I requested a bottom floor room, due to us having A LOT of items to move from the car to the room and vice versa. The lady understood and gave us the kitchenette room. Thank you! The room itself served its purpose; for us to rest and sleep. It was big enough for my husband and I. Now there were a few “quirks”…first was the reduction whilst using the toaster and microwave oven. Allow me to elaborate: When using either or, it’d drain the other appliance. I know, it sounds confusing 🫤 😅 There was a steep step in and out of the shower. The water temperature would change from time to time, only for a second. The Long Island Sound was across the street and it was beautiful! The location of this lodging was superb, no traffic, and restaurants galore! This place *COULD* use improvements, however, once you know the quirks, this isn’t a bad place.

The Tides Motor Inn Stelhi Beach, Bayville, NY - Thursday, June 13, 2024||This Inn is not as advertised. Pulled in and appeared rundown with peeling paint, not just a little bit, but all over the building. There were cars in the lot that were packed with belongings and one that was stuffed full and broken down on the back of the lot. Walked into the office and noticed handwritten signs posted all over the reception windows about the various fees, including a per person/per day fee to use the pool and a notification that extended stay is limited to 28 consecutive days. Fees that are not noted on the website. A poorly written Guest Notification was given to us with instructions on how to access WIFI and the TV remote. Received only one key even though there were two of us. Pulled around to park and noticed a large group of people sitting around in steel folding chairs in front of their unit as well as people yelling in the parking lot. Approached our unit (#50) and the door did not appear sturdy and there was a gap between the door and the frame; something the security chain could not contain if someone forced their way through that door and evidence that the door had been previously pried open. Upon entry, the curtains were broken and held down by a rope. We did not feel comfortable with the security to stay and leave our car overnight. We returned the key to the desk and asked, despite no refund policy, would they reconsider. The desk person said there are no refunds. She then asked her manager and came back with, ‘We can offer you a bigger room’ We declined as that would not address our security concerns.

Really shabby motel. Got a single room even though I booked a double, which was fine before I was solo but it did seem a little shady. TV didn't work, lights constantly flickered while on, dead roaches in the shower, no housekeeping unless you pay extra. Definitely will not stay there again. The one bright spot is that the staff was super nice.

Positive: the room had enough space and features that provided a comfortable stay for my wife and I Negative: The outside of the hotel does not match the inside. it is a little run down on the outside, but the rooms are spacious and provided what we needed. local to restaurants and the beach across the street.

Delicious food and service. I can’t wait to come back. I’ll definitely recommend to get the Vitelli Tonneto ( I felt like home with that dish). Desserts are al $10 which it caught our attention. We loved that! The chocolate cake was amazing! IMP
