I had a wonderful experience staying at Tides by the Sea! Kristen was so sweet and welcoming, with the brightest smile. She took the time to let me look at different rooms, helping me choose the perfect one for my daughter and me during our work trip. The beach access was fantastic, and the view from our room was incredible. We also had a fully stocked kitchen, which made everything so convenient. The staff was incredibly accommodating, making our stay comfortable and stress-free. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend.
Room 145 and 159 are the best rooms in my opinion. Some of the other rooms are small with no view , but If you pay a little extra then it's 100% worth it!!
We absolutely loved our stay here. We were in 159 which is cute and cozy. A family member stayed in 145 which is insanely nice and big!! The pool is warm , the views are great. You are in walking distance from the city but far away enough from the crowds. You can walk down to the beach and there is a cute coffee house/restaurant right across the street. We loved it so much we booked an extra night. The staff was all super nice too, especially the couple running the place. It's such a little gem you just have to book a room with a view. We've stayed here before in the past with an ocean view on the bottom floor and we could hear the TV next door but I had no issues this last trip.
Coming from the east coast, I can’t have imagined a better place for my first day on the Pacific Ocean. My wife and I celebrated our anniversary in one of the ocean view condos, and put simply, it was perfect. Clean space, plenty of amenities, and great staff. Highly recommended
I don't really get why people have rated this place so high. Our trip started with notification that our room that we've had booked for 9 months wouldn't be available due to unforseen circumstances (backed up sewage). So we took our parents room, they took my uncle's room and he got what can only be described as the storage room. We ended up in the 2 story loft (#167), which did give the extra half bath. But let's start with this being an historical location. Fine, the bones of the room are good, but the decor and setup leave little to the imagination. Why are there carpets in a ocean room? I'm not sure, but they also have to be 7 years old. The kitchen was usable, the dining room was great, the 2 queen beds were decent, but no human should have to sleep on the pull out couch. It was rock hard and we weren't even given proper bedding for it. Overall I would book again for the location and use of the room, but please put some money and have the room updated so they are all on a similar plane (our original room was so pretty and functional). What was most upsetting was no one reached out to use for the inconvenience. Great location to the beach, great pool, great local store and eateries.
This is my first trip to Seaside and I will stay at the Tides on every future trip. The service has been off the charts. Everyone is so friendly from the front desk to the housekeepers. I had a very short notice and unexpected change of plans, forcing me to bring my dog. I was booked in a no-pet room. They were accommodating and checked in multiple times to ensure we were comfortable.
Never staying at this place again! One positive thing I can say is the front desk office workers has always been kind and helpful. Although the rooms are not very great. First if you are staying at the bottom levels , you will hear EVERY SINGLE NOISE. This includes the top room. I unfortunately had to hear love making noises in front of my daughter. Very uncomfortable situation. As well the review were right all you can hear is a bass which is the tv from the next door room. I haven’t had a moment of silence since my stay. You can’t receive no privacy nor a good night sleep. The location is right in front of the beach so expect people passing by who may be loud and hearing slammed car doors. Also in the middle of the night have heard people yelling loud. Not even the walls nor ceiling can protect you from the noise, it is like the neighbors are on top of you. Also wanted to point out that you can hear every pipe from someone using the water. This is not the place to get away, I ADVISE PEOPLE NOT TO STAY HERE. The visual appeal of the place is nice on the inside BUT this is NOT PEACEFUL NOR worth the money.
Update: Just wanted to mention i stayed in Room 143.
we initially book room 149 and from the start the staff was so wonderful. Wife and Husband combo. We eventually moved to to room 151 and the place is absolutely beautiful, its updated and clean and the view is spectacular. Its worth every penny. We truly enjoyed our stay and will comeback and stay again at this place. The service is amazing. 10/10
It's truly a blast from the past! Great atmosphere. Fantastic staff. The heated pool is a definite plus! Easy access to the ocean and Promenade! We'll be back real soon
this place is absolutely beautiful & so cute. i love that their flower is local & home grown & their display is TOP notch. Kory was our budtender, he was very nice & helpful !! would definitely recommend if youâre in the area !
It's a long, windy, and narrow road into the day use area, but it's definitely worth it. The coastline is beautiful. The parking was busy when we arrived, and there was a sign saying it was full when there were actually maybe 10 spaces still availabl
June is a great time of year because of all the wildflowers, but parking isn't great (so get there early!) 80% of the hike is relatively easy... but it's that other 20% that reminds you this IS a mountain after all. Don't let that deter you though! J
Love this store. She carries great local jams, syrups, nuts, wines, chocolates and other yummy things. She has a wonderful selection of Dean Crouser art things. Coasters, wall art, stickers & more.
Good breakfast sandwiches and fun latte flavors/themes, cool atmosphere, and community vibe. Arrow to the knee drink was delicious and would go here again â¨ï¸

The gentleman there was very helpful and informative. I loved the calm atmosphere with a hint of excitement. Talk about memories. Better than a Blockbuster. Took my son to experience and learn a little something about real movies. I see a new traditi
