Honestly, the service was poor. Mistakes on orders, some things never came out, slow, unresponsive... Not rude, but not good. Whatever. 2/10 The food started interesting. The dill pickle potato and bacon soup came as advertised. Too much dill going on. 3/10 but if you love dill probably higher for you. The consistency was not thick at all. 3/10 dill potato and bacon soup My wife loved the blackened tuna salad 8/10 And then something happened. The crispy hot chicken sandwich. Order this. This damn sandwich was the best thing I've had at a restaurant in a very long time. Easily my favorite sandwich ever. Incredible. Crispy, with a tasty sauce. Buns were perfection. I took the tomato off because it was unnecessary. Get this sandwich 10/10 Crispy Hot Chicken Sandwich. And the buffalo wings were absolutely top notch. Crispy. Probably overcooked for some people but that's how we like them with a great hot sauce 8.5/10 buffalo wings If it wasn't for the sandwich, we'd probably not go back but it was worth all the inconsistent service alone.

It was freezing inside. Dinnerware is cheap and chinzy. Seating is not very comfortable. No printed menus; must have smartphone. But the food is good. And it was getting busy and noisy. People having fun.

Went for the first (and last) time last friday. Decent Turkey Burger, but for $17? You need to get over yourselves. Had a fine meal but disappointed to find I was overcharged more than what I left for tip. Not a lot of money, but nice to know this establishment hasn't got the best proofreaders working! Will not be back.

Got in after a cold and long day at work. Stood at the wait station for a few minutes. More people started to come in and congregate by the wait area. My father and I stood by the podium/where the sign was that said "Please wait to be seated" while others filled in. Hostess came over, grabbed the first family she saw, and tried to seat them. We politely said "We were waiting here first". Hostess said "Sorry guys. It's who I see first. You shouldve spoken up". We had no time to speak up, since she didnt ask who was here first and just grabbed the first family she saw. This was the last available table and now we had a 20 minute wait because the family she wanted to seat lacked the kindness to say "Hey, we just walked in and they were waiting" and the hostess just wanted to clear the waiting area. Food was decent, not bad by any means. Its bar food. But the interaction with the hostess really soured the visit for us.

Pretty good food and decent prices. The new owner isn't friendly but the old staff that's still there is. I love coming here for happy hour. Parking behind the bar but park down the residential streets for free to stay awhile :)

A favorite place for locals, going back to when this location was Brennan's Colony. Still serving fresh, inspired bar food. The crispy hot chicken sandwich is probably my favorite chicken sandwich in the city!

Friends invited us to The Tavern and we had a great time. Our friends love the salad with seared tuna and it was a large salad with a nice portion of tuna. My hubby got the walleye dinner and loved it. I ordered onion rings to share and honestly some of the best I've had in Cleveland. I hot the special of shrimp tacquitos and it was only so so. Too much sauce and burned on the edges. So, overall a good food experience but I might not order from the specials. That's just me. We will definitely go back and I hope u like it. Enjoy!!

Disappointing for what you spend. This place is always freezing and they never have the heat on in winter. The excuse is... people keep opening the door to come in. 2 of us ordered salads and I ordered fried cauliflower bites for dinner plus we wanted tavern fries. Their salads came out, but we had to wait for my cauliflower bites and fries for about 15 more minutes. I told the others to eat and not wait for mine. Our server was a sweetheart which was the redeeming factor for the night. We came to see a band which was set up in the absolute worst place in the whole space. Right near the front entrance. When it got crowded it was very difficult to get out the door Not sure this is a great venue for large bands. Not in any hurry to go back. It's not my first time being there.
