The Tasting Room at Hoppin' Frog - Brewpub in Akron - 1680 E Waterloo Rd, USA

This was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in Ohio so far! Food and drinks were amazing and the venue itself was really cool.

It's a microbrewery. We met our daughter here for our birthday's. We had Sunday brunch and the food was good. The free flowing flights of beer were outstanding! Very best and flavorful selections of micro beer. Everyone ordered what they wanted with no restrictions and the cost was about $29 per person. I will definitely return some day!

One of my favorite brewery stops. Staff was great, they have a huge selection on draft. Pay attention to the ABV% some are high for beer. Food was good but limited, few apps, couple of lunch and dinner options. Parking in the back.

Fast and friendly service is just the start. Check out the craft beer selection! Outstanding! This must be on you list when looking for a craft brewery experience in Akron. The 1/2 rack of ribs complemented the beer so well. Great beer & food! Highly recommended.

Many outstanding experiences. Great food. World class beer selection. Friendly, attentive staff. Fun entertainment and events. I think the only people who would have anything bad to say about the Frog would be people who believe that bringing a baby to a beer tasting room is normal.

I was at the tasting room last week for dinner and drinks. I was excited to try the special tasting-room-only variations on hoppin' frog beers when I was there. They had the brewery's pumpkin ale running through three different serving towers, with a different experience on each. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the beers showing on Taplister were exactly what they had! The food and service were also excellent. If you like good beer, this is a place you should definitely check out.

First the beer is awesome as usual! They recently revamped the menu. Finally the BORIS BBQ Sandwich is on the regular menu after many requests by their customers. Since I have enjoyed that sandwich many times I decided to try something new. I went for the Marble Rye Turkey Reuben. It boasts house smoked turkey breast with the usual Reuben toppings. The sandwich is quite thick with the amount of turkey and is quite tasty but being turkey I found it quite dry and the amount of dressing on the sandwich just doesn't help. I personally think that maybe a side of thousand island dressing may help.

What happened to this place??? Don't get me wrong, Hoppin' Frog used to be my all time favorite brewery! And I travel the world and try a lot of different beers. Last year when I heard they were finally opening this place, I jumped at the opportunity for work to take me to Akron. First trip, "wow, these beers are pricy!" From buying the bottles, I knew the beer wasn't cheap. But come on, your draft prices are through the roof! I'm buying from the source, no middleman…your beer on draft shouldn't be the same price per oz as it is in bottles in a retail store!! O well, at least the food is good. They have a great chef working out of a small kitchen. I guess the food will keep me coming back. WRONG! Something happened in the last month or so since I have been in town. I even stopped in twice during my last trip to make sure it wasn't just a one time thing. The food quality has really taken a dive. Come to find out, they are changing their format and not offering a nice menu, just bar snack food type stuff. I was told the chef is gone too. Anyone else ever notice the elitist tone you are spoken to in here when asking questions? Not welcoming or friendly at all. Well, needless to say I won't be fighting to make the trip back to Akron anymore. Probably won't be seeing out the bottles in my town either. Way to leave a sour taste in the mouth of one of your best customers...
