The Surf Club Oceanfront Hotel - Featured Reviews (407)
My family and I had a great time at this hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. We had an issue with our air conditioner and staff fixed it immediately (Thanks Doc!). The partial view room is huge. Kitchenette and having a small eating table is great. Location is awesome - close to the beach, restaurants and Jolly Trolley stop. There's a grocery store a block away that has the basics such as eggs, milk and bread. I was concerned when I read the reviews about the lack of parking, but it wasn't as bad as I expected. Street parking (if you have a second car) is through an app and during the busy season it's $31 a day and you might have to wait to get a spot, but it was manageable, at least when we went. Pool is small as other reviews have mentioned, but people come and go so you can get pool time. Small patio area by the pool is convenient and clean. A renovation to bathrooms and fresh set of towels would make this place really awesome.
Clean and rooms are bright. The reception desk staff Sarah and America, the two ladies I met were very helpful. The General Manager was superb. He has very good customer service skills. The hotel is steps away from the beach which my grandchildren loved. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in a hotel. Would recommend a stay here.
Great place with beautiful ocean view on the dead end street. Very accommodating because of the rainy weather we were fortunate enough to get a walk in reservation. Very clean, large open floor plan updated with luxury vinyl floors (2nd) floor, kitchenette with microwave, apartment size refrigerator, kitchen table with 4 chairs next to the floor to ceiling windows for a great view. Pullout couch with large TV on wall, dressers for unpacking luggage. Outdoor pool which we didn’t get to enjoy because we were just passing through and were short on time. Thank you Doc for our short but enjoyable stay. Will definitely tell our NJ friends. This place is a hidden treasure.
This is our 3rd year staying here and I will never stay anywhere else. Even the side rooms have a gorgeous view of the ocean! The mini kitchen is a plus with dishes, utensils, toaster, microwave, big fridge, etc. The king size bed and pull out couch are super comfy and I couldn't do without the wonderful blackout curtains. It's very quiet as well. The only thing to note is the bathroom is small but, really, who spends their beach days in the bathroom? Feels like I'm getting a fantastic deal for what this hotel has to offer. Look forward to coming back again next year!
Was extremely pleasantly surprised by this place! Absolutely cannot beat the location, rooms are large and clean, the only slight negative is the bathrooms are quite small. Very comfortably fit 4 adults. The staff was extremely accommodating. Overall very impressed with this place considering the reasonable price. Would 100% stay again if I return to Dewey.
We were pleasantly surprise when he arrived in our Deluxe suite. It was almost like an Airbnb . Best price for being right on the beach! It was very peaceful at night because of the sound ordinance rule unlike other hotels on the strip. We were able to walk back and forth from the beach to room easily. Dewey beach is free and it has a beautiful view with dunes. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was very spacious enough room for a family of 5. We just went as a couples getaway and it was fantastic. I highly recommend staying here ! We will be visiting again !
While being older, we were pleasantly shocked at the size. We had an ocean view which was great. Kitchenette was equipped. Full frig. Two burner stove, microwave, Kurig coffee maker, dishes, pans, etc. View great. Staff at desk great. Pool small. A family reunion came with about 30 people and took over patio area and pool. We had to leave due to 19 people in small pool. Wished we had been forewarned. Hotel parking atrocious. Get a spot and stay and walk or use Jolly Trolley! Over fill parking is a half block away IF there are spots. Not a big deal UNLESS u are toting supplies. Family above us had running children so be prepared for noise. No full groceries in town. Shop in Rehoboth before entering Dewey. Place was very clean.
This place is a little old but it isn't bad. We had a 2nd room view of the ocean. There is no balcony but the view is still quite nice.
The walls are a little thin but they have a pretty strict no noise policy so there was no problem there.
I love this beach! Grab some food and sit on the beach with a towel! This place is the place to go to avoid tourist life and live with the locals! Please note that they generally do not allow fires on the beach and you do need to pay for parking star
Fun place for the kids with a covered gazebo to sit and watch when not playing with them. Water fountain provided for hot days. Kids loved all the toys in the sandbox. There was even a book exchange for story time under the gazebo.
Stopped in for lunch and this place did not disappoint. From the friendly staff, drinks, food it was all top notch. The special that day was "the monster" and as you can see from the pictures it truly was. Another must try is the the md crab and crea
Firstly, Nickâs is the only place for a cheesesteak. Bread is soft. The meat moist and excellently chopped and plenty of cheese. Today, for lunch, I had their gyro. Given the authentic feel of the place, I had high hopes. (Iâm doing a head to hea
