The Summit At Gore Mountain - Featured Reviews (45)
We were thrilled when we opened the door to our three bedroom unit. Our unit was updated in 2019 and was clean, welcoming, and spacious. The location of the Summit is great, too. North Creek is a small town with both the necessities (Tops supermarket, Stewart Shop, Dollar General) and vacation perks (Glass Blowing, Rail Trail, excellent restaurants (Basil & Wicks!)) We took advantage of nearby activities (tubing, hiking) as well as driving to Bolton Landing and Lake George. The "Summer" season was starting the following week, so it was fairly quiet while we were there. I can imagine if you were into skiing, this would be an ideal location as well, though! We would return to this resort if we planned another trip to the area!
We've rented several different townhouses here over about 20 visits since 2003, all have been clean and nicely furnished. Lovely views of the Adirondack Mountains. Good places to eat in North Creek.
Four seasons of fun. A stone's throw away from the mountain, the Hudson River, some beautiful towns and great restaurants. Indoor pool and shared rec room with sauna at the community center
My family and I rented a two bedroom/two and a half bath condo at The Summit for a ski trip at Gore Mountain. The condos are a less than five minute drive to the mountain, and there is a shuttle offered on the weekend. The condo is so nicely decorated and comfortable. We have excellent wi-fi, which is important considering the lack of service in the area. The paths were plowed daily, and the stairs were clean and well-maintained. Everything we needed to cook was available in the kitchen. We had no problem parking close to our rental every day. The availability of the pool and sauna are an added bonus. Excellent Experience!
Beautiful setting, lovely week, well worth the time spent in the area. We were able to support some very wonderful local merchants. We found the grocery store to be well stocked and friendly. Everywhere we went, from North Creek to Lake George, to Ticonderoga was wonderful. It was a little tricky determining what exactly was open, but we were never at a loss for something to do or see. We live in a beautiful state!
My husband and I rented Unit E 23 at the Summit at Gore for four months, and found it a wonderful escape. The place overall is well run, with helpful staff and a rec room and indoor pool that was a great hit when our grandsons visited. E-23 is a newly redecorated townhouse with two bedrooms and a bath and jacuzzi up, and living/dining room and second full bath downstairs. The kitchen was a gem - with easy-care counters and slate floor, all full-size appliances, including a dishwasher, and an adjacent washer/dryer. (We had a small problem with the dryer, and the owner, visiting in the area, insisted in taking his vacation time to fix it for us.) Berber carpets were used throughout and the decor was appropriate for a ski-town retreat. Skylights keep the town house bright during the day, and windows look out on the Gore Mountain Ski Center slopes. The hamlet of North Creek is close by, with shops, gas, groceries, eateries and many local events worth attending. I've heard that this unit is for sale it will be a real prize for whoever buys it.
These townhouses are individually owned year round and some owners rent or they can deposit thru RCI. Therefore the inside will reflect the owner's personal likes. We stayed in a 3 BR which had a wood burning fireplace with a supply right outside the door. The unit was clean, well maintained and our bed was very comfortable. Sadly there was no exercise equipment other than a treadmill which kind of worked. There was a pool table with 1 broken cue stick. For some reason I do not understand, many resorts we have visited put no priority on the exercise/game room. We visited off season so we found many restaurants and activities closed. We will, however, recommend Caffe Vero in Lake George and Lizzie Keays in Warrensburg. We would stay again.
We have stayed here many times for family vacations and reunions. It is a comfortable place to stay, quiet and close to North Creek.|The beds are comfortable and the furnishings are nice. The showers are a bit small but we managed. Everything was very nice and we will stay here again next year. Lots of fun restaurants nearby in North Creek, Warrensburg, and Glens Falls |
Stayed yesterday while hitting GORE. I love this place. The staff is fantastic and goes out of their way to make sure you've got everything you need. Perfectly situated in North Creek. Thanks to the staff! Definitely a Skier friendly spot. I've stay
