Great location, lots of free parking, friendly staff and nice room. We stayed in a kitchenette with 2 queen beds that faced away from the main road and was quiet. The room was clean and had fresh linen. Breakfast was decent and filling with an attentive staff member helping to refresh everything. Next door to Safeway for any quick shopping. Highly recommend this establishment.

Positives: |Location. Decent parking. Great friendly young diverse staff. Good water pressure. A little roomier than your typical 2-Queen cookie cutter room (eg, room for two chairs at the window with a little table). Good water pressure. Updated flooring. Mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Decent free breakfast as free breakfasts go (not much hot stuff other than steel-cut oatmeal and fixings, but they have hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, breads). Yes, the decor is Shakespeare-themed like everything in Ashland-the hint’s in the name!||We read in other reviews about odors, but did not experience that, and despite 108 degree weather the AC kept up! If you’re routinely in Ritz-Carlton’s or Four Seasons, this isn’t for you. But for a clean pleasant stay so maybe you splurge on theater and/or dinner, this will do nicely. ||Opportunities:|Bathrooms not fully updated yet. Indoor pool smell from behind the front desk wafts in to that area only. A few more four-tops in the breakfast area would be appreciated.

Lovely hotel in town center, across from Safeway. We went on an off night so rooms were discounted. Very friendly and helpful front staff. They let us park there after we checked out. We did not use the pool. The town and park that includes a Japanese garden is a great day trip.

I am very impressed with this hotel. The people I interacted with at reception all went above and beyond their check-in duties. Not only were they efficient with check-in, but they were friendly and very helpful. Alyssa got me the last available room on a busy Labor Day weekend. Gaia recommended places to me for services that I asked about in town. Ashleigh called me to let me know that my new room was available. MJ went to the trouble of tracking me down just to give me a clean wash cloth! Also want to give Terrell a shout-out for helping me navigate the washer and dryer. The breakfast was simply amazing for a person who eats "healthy". I don't think I've ever had good coffee when included with the breakfast until now! Location perfect. Very homey place. AC works great as I happened to come to visit Ashland on a VERY HOT weekend.... and yes, there is an indoor pool and jacuzzi that I haven't been to yet. Stay here!!

I reserved the Executive King room because the website specifically says it is on the third floor and facing Grizzly Peak (not next to Siskiyou Blvd). Upon check-in, I was given a room on the second floor facing Siskiyou Blvd. I mentioned this but was told they do not guarantee room types and could not provide me with a different room. Then why lead people to believe they're reserving a specific room on the website? The room I was given was not quiet, which is why I reserved a top floor room away from the street. Other than a stained towel in the room, it was clean. UPDATE: After reviewing their response, I'm adding a picture from their website indicating the room being on the third floor. Also clarifying that I was not placed on the side of the building stated in the description, even though their response indicates they do guarantee what side of the building the room is on. They are so defensive and dishonest with their response. They can't just acknowledge that their website is wrong and commit to fixing it?

Second time here and my reviews are based on the value for money I received with their great off-season rates. ||Like others said, the place could use an update and there is somewhat of a musty odour greeting you in the common hallways. My room, however, was generally quite clean and I'm picky, I ran my hair and dust test and it passed. I found the toiletries in mounted dispensers of decent quality and it seems they've greatly improved the quality of the towels since my last stay. My room, this time over the parking lot was much quieter than my last one on the street side so I generally slept well. Some of the furniture is worn but otherwise the room is well maintained and the bed was comfortable. I especially like the hardwood flooring over carpet.||A couple of changes would greatly improve things. A newer single use in-room coffee machine to replace the old drip style, mine was old and not clean, a room safe ( an absolute must when travelling ) and a new door key card system to replace the 1960's style motel keys complete with a plastic tag and room number attached, which I find totally unsafe in 2024 as anyone could copy them and gain access to your room.||Location was spot on, a 10 min walk to the centre of town, I didn't indulge in the cold breakfast offerings but the coffee was decent. ||As I tend to workout while away, I especially appreciated the free access to nearby Snap Fitness, a very well equipped 24 hour gym just a 5 min drive from the hotel. ||For what I paid I was pleased and if I could get a similar rate next time I'm in Ashland I'd stay at the Stratford Inn again. Oh and staff were great!

This hotel has wonderful management and employees!! Our room was sparkling clean and we were just so thankful to feel comfortable with crisp perfect sheets and bedding for the night. The service execution was like a five star hotel, it’s also a very central location within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and coffee shops.

We came in to town late and were pleasantly surprised by The Stratford Inn having a place for us to rest. Liked the Shakespearean decor, not knowing beforehand, that Ashland, Oregon had such a big following. Were very good to get a good nights sleep, after I had a late nite swim. So refreshing, after driving for over 8 hours. Woke up early, had another swim and then had breakfast. Cindy greeted us and really made us feel like family. She was very helpful in giving us plenty of advice of places of interest. We ended up going to Jacksonville and really enjoyed the town. We went to a bakery located beside a bed and breakfast, and were totally amazed by their baked goods. We shopped the town at Paddington Sq. Looking forward to return trip, and staying here again. Thanks.
