We stayed 2 nights on a anniversary trip. Rustic dated lodge but cozy. Views were beautiful! Staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. We ate breakfast one am, not included in room price, pricey, but good. Room was big, bed not so comfy. Enjoyed our stay!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Stowehof! Our room, as well as the hotel lounge and dining area had incredible views of the mountains. It felt like we were in a 60s ski chalet. Our room was very roomy and had a nice balcony, which we enjoyed going out on in the mornings. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our only complaint is that it is a little old and just needs a bit more maintenance / renovation. But really, you can't beat the stunning views here.
We loved the view of our room and how rustic the hotel was. We really enjoyed the sauna and the pool. Our bed is one we will miss—very comfortable and large. However, there were some things that needed work, in and outside our room. It is clear that there are some staffing issues leaving less attention to smaller details but we had a great time. We hope to return when it’s colder to sit by the lounge’s fireplace.
my honest review!! this is an older hotel/inn don't expect it be perfect condition and modern! The stowehoff inn has a lot of charm and charachter from the tree pillars outside to the little details inside the lobby! upon check the two gentlemen at the front desk were very friendly the experience overall was very simple. im a modern hotel kind of girl! so this was outside of my comfort zone for me. The whole place is dog friendly! which was amazing considering i was traveling with my pup and bf. so we get into our room! the room is dated, but thats what gives the place so much charm. we recieved doogy bags and extra bowl which was thoughtful!!! The rugs in the room are slightly stained (which didnt bother me too much but was noticeable) the bed was super clean and so was the bathroom! The bed initally felt soft but it was on the firmer side and the pillows also on the firmer! bring your own pillows! for the comfort u want. my room was located on the first floor in room 15. we had a sliding glass door which was very convient because of luna, but was dissapointed to find the screen to be in the not the best shape and off the track. The door worked fine! i opted to use the AC window which did it job but needs good a cleaning. Floor vents also need a good cleaning. overall the room was clean with clean linen! I also loved that was a resturant inside the hotel (although did not eat there) the grounds were in great condition and the pool is very inviting, THE VIEW IS TRULY SPECTACULAR! The stowehoff is located in a great area with many resturants and things to do along with nearby hiking trails! I recommend asking for a map at check in to see the whole area!!! If im ever in the area again i would stay here again! the Room was inexpensive and perfect for my overnight stay. Thankyou!!
We hosted our wedding at the Stowehof and it was absolutely perfect! We wanted a cool Vermont spot that wasn’t too stuffy and had enough that guests could stay on the property all weekend without leaving if they wanted. We had the entire property just for our guests and it was so incredible to have the space just for our wedding. The property is beautiful, our wedding photos were really varied and all lovely. Our wedding planner, Lindsey Leichthammer, worked closely with the Stowehof team to make sure everything went off without a hitch. We can’t wait to come back for anniversaries in the future and would absolutely recommend hosting your own wedding at the Stowehof!
We go to Stowe often and this was our first time here. When we first arrived we were a little concerned because some of the building elements are in need of minor cosmetic repair, and the hallways are narrow and a little "dated". HOWEVER, our room was spotless and nice, bed and pillows extremely comfortable. The grounds are well manicured, clean, and interesting. The pool area seems to be where many of the guests seem to congregate, and has great views of the mountains and the beautiful grounds. We stayed on a nice weekend in June and many guests seemed content to relax in the grounds during the day. The guests we met were friendly and relaxed. We had drinks and dinner poolside and stayed for the fire pit starting at dusk. It is a peacefully quiet, unique inn far enough off the Mountain Road, but central enough to have access to anything you want to do. The staff are friendly and accommodating. My wife and I were there ourselves but we definitely look forward to being back with other friends and family. I would say this is a hidden gem in Stowe!
Really charming hotel! Not new and sparkly, but has lots of character and original design elements, which we loved. The common areas are great, really stunning sunset views and several private nooks to retreat to in the large main room. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, both before and during our visit and the Fritz bar/restaurant was quaint and yummy. The only downsides were the bed pillows and sheets, which were low quality (new, but cheap) and the in-room bathrooms, which were very lightly updated and therefore felt a bit unclean.
It was excellent for many reasons. First and foremost was the location of The Stowehof, in Stowe Vermont. Makes you feel like you are in Switzerland. Secondly, the service, the hotel itself was so beautiful in a rustic, quaint way which perfectly blended to the beautiful scenery. Thirdly, the room and the place was so peaceful and quiet. Even if there are people, you don't hear anything when you are in the room. The receptionist who welcomed us was so friendly and helpful. And most of all, the lobby had games, and free flowing coffee, tea and hot chocolate all day long!!! Amazing stay and I'll definitely comeback to the Stowehof next time I'm in Vermont again. Thank you!!!

My partner and I stayed at Stone Hill Inn the week after Christmas (Dec 2023) for a visit to Stowe. The communication leading up to our stay was first-rate, and we were provided with all the information you could ever need to plan a good stayâthink
Stowe's rec path: a scenic paradise for dogs and their humans! Stunning swimming spots for a refreshing break. Just be cautious â some cyclists are silent speedsters, so keep an eye out and enjoy the adventure!
GiraKofi is great! Iâve been wanting to go here for quite a while and finally stopped in today. They have an impressive selection of teas, coffees, and even other drinks like flavored Red Bull! I personally love that - they can add like 20+ flavors
My family and I had a wonderful stay over Christmas holidays at this wonderful Inn. Kim and Phill were super hosts. They were very welcoming to our boys and we felt at home. The gourmet breakfasts were delicious and served with a wonderful view. The
What a charming coffee shop / bakery!! We stopped in after learning they had a vegan breakfast sandwich! It was SO good! It was basically a fresh made muffin (from scratch!) with vegan egg, vegan cheese & vegan home made sausage! It was a nice size,
Very short hike, but you need to have good shoes. Put your swimsuit under your clothes and bring snacks; you will want to get in the water and stay for a while. You don't have to jump from the cliffs to enjoy a safe swim, just steady one foot at the
