Station 100 has a good reputation, but that reputation seems to have been earned in the past. The entire place is dated and somewhat dilapidated. The tomato soup was very boring and not at all like the picture on their website. The fried mushrooms were bland and nothing to write home about. The goulash was far too sweet. I had 3 Wiener schnitzels over the course of my 3 day stay in Frankenmuth. This was, by far, the worst. The breading was good, but the veal itself was tough and chewy, rather than tender. I will say that the Spätzle was good and the mushroom gravy was also very nice. I was annoyed that I ordered Leffe Blond (a Belgian beer) and was incorrectly corrected on the pronunciation by the server(for context: I live in the Benelux region of Europe, speak Dutch, and know how to pronounce the names of Belgian beers). As other reviewers have pointed out, the servers all try to be sophisticated. “Try” is the operative word as it’s very clear that they are trying a little too hard. When she brought my “Lef” (as she insisted on pronouncing it) she presented the open beer bottle along her forearm like a sommelier presenting a wine bottle. Odd to say the least. I think the owners need to focus more on food quality and consistency and less on training their staff how to “act” like this is a fine dining establishment. Last, but not least, the server highly recommended the tiramisu as being “as close to the authentic Italian recipe as possible”. We decided to order this and while it looked very pretty, it was extremely boring and you could barely taste any coffee. We asked her later what her favorite part of the tiramisu was. It was at that point she explained that she doesn’t like coffee and normally hates tiramisu, but she really loves this one “for some reason”. She was very sweet and enthusiastic. All in all, the dinner was not worth $150 for 2 people (including tip).

Tl;dr: This isn’t our first bad experience, we won’t be back again. Food, service and overall experience were a disappointment. The food is dated and pretentious, and the majority of staff does not seem concerned with guest experience. We dined at Station 100 last evening with another couple, and were incredibly disappointed with both the experience and the food. This was our first visit back in almost a year, after a terrible experience on Valentine’s Day last year ($600 beef Wellington for 8-10 people to share came out well done when ordered medium rare. Restaurant didn’t even apologize, let alone offer to replace it with one that was cooked properly.) We decided to go back and give it another shot, and it has not improved. It says a lot when a “fine dining” restaurant in a town without many options is less than half full on a Saturday night. When we arrived there were only 3 cars in the parking lot. Being fine dining, we expect the meal to progress at a slower pace, but we waited about 20 minutes for our soup and salad to arrive which feels excessive when we were one of only 5 tables in the restaurant on a Saturday evening. Our server was great, especially considering he was the only one working, but the other members of staff fell short of our expectations. The most noteworthy part for me was that after we had dealt with the food mishaps, the chef proceeded to stand outside of the kitchen door, literally staring us down/glaring while we chatted and wrapped things up with the waiter. She made a point to visit every table there except for ours prior to that as well. Throughout our entire experience, we did not have any member of management stop by to check in or discuss the issues that occurred. Three of the four members of our party, myself included, have worked in the industry extensively, and understand that mistakes happen. It matters so much more how the mistake is handled than what it was in the first place. It would have taken very little for us to walk away from that experience willing to give them another opportunity, but they clearly did not care to make the effort. Food: I will say that everything was plated well, but the parsley & colored tuile on each dish is unnecessary and outdated. The tuna carpaccio and beef steak tartare appetizers were fantastic, the chicken curry was okay. The tomato soup and house salad were great as well. For entrees, my boyfriend had the lamb rack which was delicious, but a very small portion for the price with not a lot of meat on the chops. I ordered the filet, cooked medium, which came out rare initially. They took it back to bring it up to temp, and I let the server know I was okay if it was a little over medium rather than still being under. It came back still quite medium rare, and was tough and had no flavor. I ended up not even eating it, as the sides that come with it were disappointing as well. The vegetables are bland, cold and undercooked, and the potato dauphinoise had far too much nutmeg. The other couple with us had the Austrian goulash, which was okay, and the A5 wagyu medium rare with 3 scallops. The scallops were okay, but the wagyu came out medium well, which isn’t something you’d expect at that price point. He informed our server and asked for a replacement, and he was happy to oblige and didn’t take the old one. He then came back and said he needed the old one for the kitchen to cook the new one, which is fine, but was odd that he didn’t just take it initially. The second one was better as well. For dessert we had a tiramisu, which was just okay, and the Black Forest cake which very clearly was foodservice supplied, not made in-house. Overall, save yourself the $ and disappointment and skip this one, or stick to apps and soup & salad.

I love the formal feel of this place – it made our anniversary feel super special. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The rack of lamb was amazing and the salad dressing was wonderful. My wife had the filet and enjoyed every bite. The presentation was phenomenal. We both liked the wine options and had glasses we normally would not have picked. Service was well-timed and unobtrusive, while providing lots of info on the food and drinks. The sommelier was wonderful and we appreciated his details!!

Have been going here since 2021. This will always be a special place for us. Thank you for always providing excellent service and wonderful food. Old photos, but they will do!

Food was top! Everything was 99% perfect. I am not a drinker nor much for the taste so when my meal came out with a wine fluff it was not my flavor so I pushed it to the side of my plate. Really just an all around wonderful meal. My only real complaint was for a fine dining location I expected to be a little more "romantic" setting. Was not a huge fan of the shared booth style seating. I was also not happy with the infant in there acting as such! Not saying this could be generally stopped but a restaurant such as this could state no small children. The service was good but not excellent. Our waiter was on top of it for the most part. He earned his money. The Hostess had a bit of an odd way. She seemed more like a robot than woman. No emotions and very blunt. Would recommend and will likely dine here again.

Service was fantastic. Food was sub par. NY strip was less than a half inch thick, extremely fatty and lacked flavor. Lamb was overcooked and also lacked flavor. Atmosphere was simply "ok". Besides the service, price and presentation of the food, there is nothing else that fits into the category of fine dining.

Given that most of the poor reviews are at least three years old something there is obviously changed. They were we assume short staffed last night with only 3 serving tables but were very attentive. We goto quite a few high-end restaurants and it is impossible these days to find something quiet and relaxing so our roughly 3.5 hour meal in a quiet relaxed setting was exactly what we wanted. Most places want to rush you out the door. We walked in expecting a nice relaxing and long meal and got exactly that. The Rossini was excellent as was the pork special with home made pasta. Food was excellent, presentation was also excellent. Will for sure to back

Amazing! We dined here for my daughter’s 10th birthday and wow, what an experience! (they even gave her a little card that said ‘Happy Birthday’) They had the kindest staff and the food was like nothing I’ve ever had. Just wonderful. We will definitely return!
