What a fantastic venue for a rehearsal dinner! We had 21 people and had the patio to ourselves. The food was great - the chicken wing appetizers were a standout. All of the main course was delicious and plentiful. Mac and cheese, pulled brisket with homemade BBQ sauce, coleslaw, salmon, chicken, and amazing cornbread with honey butter. Dessert was awesome - a brownie platter with cookies and a carved watermelon overflowing with freshly cut fruit. Very attentive service - waters were kept full on a hot evening and drink orders were delivered quickly. Our party adjourned to the shed for the Welcoming Party where the staff relocated all the extra food for our additional guests. Our dedicated servers came with us. We stayed there for several more hours enjoying the band, drinks, and food. When the bill came Joy took the time to go over it with us in detail. Everything was priced fairly and there were no surprises. Planning the event with her was like working with a friend. It was a wonderful evening! I highly recommend The Stand.

Wonderful place to chill and Enjoy the friendly staff and good food, drinks & dessert. Sometimes a great Band playing. You can sit inside or outside.

Live Music on a Sunday night. Very lively inside at 7pm. A lot of parking but the lot fills up quickly. Two gender neutral restrooms so the line moves quickly even while busy.

Went here for dinner and music tonight. This used to be a really nice bbq/craft beer joint but it seems to have changed ownership and/or concept. The menus were uninspired and the food and drink were cheaply made. The burger was almost cafeteria-level. The service was really slow but once food and drinks finally arrived, we felt rushed by staff to turn over the table. The live music played country covers. The location and outdoor atmosphere are awesome and something really outstanding should be here, but it's not to be found.

My wife and I recently hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner at The Stand for about 40 people. If you are looking for a venue to host any type of special event in the Branford area, look no further – this is the place!! I initially contacted three venues in the area and Joy (The Stand’s manager) was by far the most responsive and helpful in putting together what was a phenomenal evening – all planned by phone, email, and text message. It was a Connecticut (bride) - Virginia (groom) wedding and Joy suggested a Southern Flair BBQ theme for the rehearsal dinner – pulled pork, smoked chicken, and bbq salmon – along with all the traditional sides – mac n cheese, baked beans, collards, as well as grilled vegetables – all amazing. We added a grazing table for the cocktail hour the week before the event – which included our request for pimento cheese – a hit with our new northern extended family. We had the event on the covered patio – beautifully decorated. The wedding party children enjoyed the outdoor yard games. We finished the evening with a tiered custom cookie bar and fresh fruit. The service was impeccable! Bonus – live old school rock and roll music at the end of dinner!! I really cannot say enough great things about every aspect – planning, communication, pricing, venue, service, food – you name it, Joy and The Stand nailed it!!

Me and my Large Adult Son loved this establishment. I got pickles (only pickles that is all my stomach can handle) and my son (large) got the hamburger, and we were both very pleased, very pleased indeed. I am excited to return. I have a lot going on in my life and this was a bright spot. Just a lot of stuff I have to deal with at home. It’s not good but I will manage thanks to my Wife. Chris was amazing, I can’t thank him enough for the service he provided us, especially considering all the stuff that I am having to handle at home. It’s really bad and I don’t want to talk about it. Come here for your next meal!
