Mixologist Max gave me and my friend the best alcohol experience in a while. 3 different types of customized drinks and all of them satisfied my pallette. For a Thursday, this was awesome. The employees at Spot Karaoke are very kind 😄🙏🏼

So ima copy and paste bc it’s true from the previous review : “Decent karaoke spot but beware that they have person drink minimum that’s equal to the price you pay for the room. It makes this place one of the priciest karaoke spots in ktown. If I remember correctly that price was 60$ You do have to literally have to get up to change music on the wall. Kind of like searching up YouTube for your song. So for what’s given the price is super freaking high but the wait for a room wasn’t too bad on a Saturday night which is why we stayed. I went back in July with my friends ; the workers at that time were super nice so overall worth it to try at least once.

I don't know where all of these good reviews come from. I see that some of them are mixed with the place next door that has billiards too. This place is too expensive, with very bad maintenance. Save yourself the trouble and go to one of the other many spots nearby. The seats are just wood, the karaoke was just an iPad on the front of the room with YouTube premium. You have to look for an actual karaoke version and add it to the playlist. Like I could do that at home. We did 2 hours for a group of 9. Initially they made a big deal because our reservation was for a group of 10. When I checked the bill it has so many extra things such a 20% tip on the booking fee. The owner is definitely doing some money laundry since they insisted so much on making us pay through Venmo, it even had a discounted rate. Overall none of us would come back.

A truly 3 star place if there ever was one. First, the price is outrageous. A private room is listed as being $30 an hour for 2 people. What they don't say is that there's a $30 an hour drink minimum on top, making it actually $60 an hour. Usually a drink minimum is the number of drinks, not the cost. Second, our room wasn't ready when we arrived. When we started singing, it was 20 after the hour, but there cut us off at 10 after. Third, the "system" is just searching for YouTube videos to sing over. This is something I can do, and have done, at home. It's just really sad and unpolished. It also eats into time, because you don't always know if the videos you're finding are actually the correct format. Anyone can put anything in video titles. It doesn't necessarily mean they're karaoke songs. There's no way to control the music or mic volume. You basically have to belt over the music. It all sounds awful. Fourth, the whole place is kind of grody. Things are not well maintained, they are pealing and coming apart. The bathroom had no soap, and the entire room looked to be falling apart. Fifth, we went on a Monday night (because literally every good place was closed) which apparently meant the kitchen was closed. Not that they notified me when I booked. The woman who had checked us in felt bad and eventually offered to make us popcorn, which she gave us free of charge. One of the only pluses. The drinks were also watered down, or way too sweet. Lastly, when we eventually got tossed out, the manager interrupted a song to say we had 5 minutes left. He then interrupted the climax of our last song, 3 minutes later. It was embarrassing and unnecessary. He said he had to "get the room ready", which was confusing since there was trash when we went in. There were also other rooms available. But I guess we weren't drinking fast enough. Anyway, a pretty sad establish for KTown. Definitely will never be back again.

It was so bad… I had to ask the guy to check our mics like twice cause the volume was low and it kept turning off. The chairs were uncomfortable… it was literally hard stools everywhere… we went there before and didn’t like it and tried it again for the second time and it still sucked. But yeah, you’re better off going somewhere else.

Decent karaoke spot but beware that they have a per person drink minimum that’s equal to the price you pay for the room. It makes this place one of the priciest karaoke spots in ktown. If you just wanna sing, go elsewhere and save yourself 50% of the cost. They also hassle you throughout the night to meet the minimum, since they’re charging it either way. Sound was good, and songs has to be chosen on a fixed controller so you can’t even use a remote - you literally have to get up to change it on the wall. Major regrets spending my bday here.

We had a terrible experience at this karaoke bar on Saturday. After having dinner right in k-town, we called the venue to ask if they had a room open for 5 people and were told yes. We confirmed that we were on our way. We arrived less than 5 minutes later, and the people at the entrance had no idea who we were. We explained that we just called, showed them our call history and after some deliberation, we were given a room. We were informed that for the first hour it would be $10/hour/person and $10/person towards drinks. Our understanding was that subsequent hours would only be $10/hour/person with no need to buy drinks. I gave the waitress my card to hold. During the first hour, the young man delivering our drinks spilled our three beers, served them to us. We were sympathetic, accidents happen! (I later realized that we were charged for those drinks, despite half being on the floor and his uniform.) At the end of the first hour, we confirmed with one girl that we would be extending our time by an hour. Despite this, ten minutes later, the same man who spilled our drinks brought us the bill, my card, and has us pay for the first hour. I was confused but I assumed thats how they did things here. He then asked us to leave, at which point we informed him we'd extended our stay by an hour. He took my card again, and stepped out to speak to his co-workers. When he came back, he informed us that the rate would be the same - $10/person/hour and $10/person towards drinks. We explained that that was not what we were told, and he asked us to leave. We spoke to the manager about all the inconveniences and miscommunications that led up to this point and all he could offer was empty apologies. On our way out, I asked for my card back and it took fifteen minutes for the bartender to deliberate with his co-workers and ultimately return my card. The entire night was marred by poor communication amongst the staff and messy management overall. Be straightforward with your clients - your rates are $20/hour/person. If you are transparent, you will not run into these sorts of problems.
