The Sojourn Vacation Rentals and Flats - Motel in Rapid City - 2401 Mt Rushmore Rd, USA

We stayed here during the sturgis rally but to drop off our student at the college. Will stay again when we go back. Location was perfect for us, close to the college and stores for dorm stuff and groceries with plenty of options to eat out. Check in and out was easy. Even with all the bikes it was quiet at night and loved talking to all the people in town for the rally. Unit was spacious with air conditioning in the living room and our fan was broken in the bedroom but the number that is given for any issues he was helpful and let us know where we can find another one on the property. Very comfortable for a family compared to a hotel room. We did not use the kitchen but it did have coffee and a coffee maker along with essentials to cook. Beds were comfortable. Only suggestion I would have is a TV in the bedroom for the bigger units since the couch only fits a few people. Looking forward to staying back here again once School of Mines football games start.

We had a great stay at The Sojourn. It's a two-story motel that's been renovated with two motel rooms combined into each suite. Our suite was #216. It was on the upper story. The room where you enter had a kitchen and a living room with a pull-out. Then there was door which led to the bedroom with the bathroom off of it as well as a large closet. We loved that the refrigerator was full-sized, and the freezer worked well and included ice-cube trays. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had the usual amenities. The air-conditioning unit is in the kitchen, and we found the bedroom was warm compared to the living room. However, they had a large fan in the closet, so we just put that in the door between the living room and the bedroom and it cooled the bedroom perfectly. Check-in and check-out were easy. The price was right. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed here while visiting the Black Hills. Good location for everything, the room was nice, the only complaint was the door separating the bedroom from the living room wouldn't close so we had to jam it shut every night, but other than that the room was extremely clean and quiet. The prices were very affordable, easy to check in and out, definitely would stay here if im in Rapid City again.

The Sojourn is located close to downtown Rapid City and is a straight shot down Mount Rushmore Avenue to The Monument (the sporting arena and events center). It has a Safeway and several fast food options within walking distance, and since it is close to downtown, close to wonderful sit down restaurants, shops, and activities. It is also a great home base for access to the Black Hills. The rooms are clean and modern, the kitchen well equipped, and plenty of closet space. It may take some doing to cool the entire apartment in the full heat of summer, but they do provide a large fan to help with circulation. The bed is very firm but spacious. There is a key cafe that was right by the main entrance to pick up and drop off keys. The cleaning staff were very kind as we were checking out. They will even send a postcard for you if you leave it on the coffee table when you leave! We will definitely stay here again for our adventures in the Black Hills area.

Great location and service. Booked through Air BnB and was able to pick up and drop off my key with ease at the kiosk. The kitchenette made staying for a longer period of time a great value as it is down the street from a grocery store. Located near many attractions, but be aware it is a left hand turn onto a busy street to head towards most Rapid City attractions.

This is pretty much a self-serve place to stay. It was easy to check in and check out. Everything was self-explanatory. The rooms are just like a small apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bathtub was deep for a relaxing bath. It is very pet friendly. It's in a good location.

Disgusting, smelled like someone was smoking cigarettes in the room. Called the front desk and all they said was sorry we can’t do anything, it’s probably the restaurant out back. Well……it can’t be the restaurant because theres an ash tray full of cigarette buds and a bucket with cigarette buds right NEXT TO THE HOTEL ROOM DOOR. Smelled like cigarettes all 4 days straight. The room is also dirty and has blood stains on the mattress and a bunch of hair and grime all over the apartment, this place is really gross. Drove 6.5 hours for a nasty smelling room and bad service. Will never come back to this hotel nor do I recommend anyone to come here. It is also remodeled very poorly as things are hanging on by glue or falling off. All we were told is sorry about your experience, the owner of this place is a complete clown and doesn’t know how to manage a hotel. Room was 118 do not book it.

The basic as basic room was ok. You get what you pay for i guess. Cobwebs didn't please me. The sofa needs to go to the trash. Rules to take out my trash was wrong since I paid for the service. Reservation thru verbo - never received my pass code to get my key. It is, what it is!
