The Slow Train Cafe - Coffee shop in Oberlin - 55 E College St STE 3, USA

TLDR; cozy ambiance with lots of interior seating but my latte was far too milky a super cute cafe near oberlin college. upon entering, the lighting and seating had a cozy ambiance and most customers are students grabbing coffee before class or sitting at the cafe to study. i read that slow train and the local were the most popular cafes in town, and opted for slow train due to better lighting. ordered at the kiosk and my drink came out <10 minutes. // iced lavender latte, 16 oz ($5.50) // i got the iced lavender latte with the default whole milk. in hindsight i should have gotten skim milk or asked for lighter milk because my drink was very milky. the lavender flavor was fragant but a bit subtle. however, the espresso flavor was not strong and it mainly tasted like milk. a little disappointed given the high reviews, but the atmosphere and people were nice. a little dim though if you're trying to read or study with physical books.

“Slow” Train , very fitting name. Took 20 min for a medium latte. While I can appreciate a good cup of coffee, I did not appreciate a woman making several cups of coffee back to back while a gentleman just stood around on his phone. It would have been nice to have seen both individuals making the coffee so visitors were not having to wait longer periods of time for their order.

Parents’ weekend - very busy from the doors opened on Saturday morning - until close. We ordered : Latte, Maple Latte, albino squirrel, and Gibraltar. Espresso drinks are above average. Today only drawback was the wait. Lots of people sitting in the cafe doing work. I would definitely recommend this place.

Love this place! Indoor and outdoor seating, chill vibe and a wide selection of caffeinated beverages. Excellent matcha latte!

Good coffee shop, prices are high for the size you get, but that's standard for pretty much every coffee house nowadays.

I want the owner to know that I have been earning points from this cafe even on days I have not been there. I am worried you have had someone hack your point system environment and people's person identification information (eg phone number) has been compromised.

I had a great moment there, I just stopped for drink a mocha and stayed there around 30 min but I saw the environment really nice. Cozy decoration, and a lot of people join there with friends to talk, read, do homework. Free WiFi than I really appreciate more if I just here to know the area.

I got a cold brew and sat out back to take a zoom meeting. Place was cozy, busy. Wi-Fi was a bit slow but it was packed. Across the park in the back is a Korean grocery store/fast casual restaurant. I recommend the Bulgogi burrito. Fun take!
