I was looking specifically for NY style pizza and this place did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in we received a warm greeting. We ordered the 20” for the 4 of us , and they had a great beer selection. Our pizza was ready in about 12-15 minutes and looked spectacular right out of the oven. A very hospitable staff to say the least. My family felt very welcomed and cozy while we ate. Will definitely come back. Also a Veteran owned business 🇺🇸
We used to order a half margherita and half chi-town pizza every once in awhile prior to the new ownership. The pizza was never soggy and the crust was always crispy. This pizza soaked through the pizza box. This is probably due to the amount of liquid in the toppings, but we had no issue previously. The margherita half always had fresh basil too, but this one came with no basil. The pizza had a good outside crust, but the rest of it was very soggy. The service was nice and the restaurant looked more welcoming. The new owners are probably still adjusting, so this may not be a typical experience.
Internet, I just had this pizza and having lived in Jersey City, it’s legitimately NJ. This pizza makes me speechless. There are meals you have that serve their purpose and then there are meals that touch your soul…this is one of those. Tried the Marg and NJ. Can’t wait for trying NY! Great pie SS! Keep it up! 1/4/24 update…Slice Spot still serving up the greatest hits of pies. Would have taken a picture of it, but my kids destroyed any evidence of pizza before I could snap one. Not a crust left and these people don’t eat crust. If you’re local and SS isn’t a frequent order out for you, cheat on your new years’ resolution diet of kale and granola with one of these tasty pies.
I came here after looking up the best NY pizza around the area. I was skeptical after recent reviews said that there was new ownership and it wasn't as good. Well this place is great. I met an older gent who was also a marine corps veteran as myself, and seemed really down to earth. I got the pepperoni Sicilian, BBQ chicken and the margarita. I've also had the pepperoni and plain cheese. All are very good but the Sicilian pep and BBQ chicken really stood out. The chicken was good quality and I don't even like chicken on my BBQ pizza (I prefer bacon), but it was great. The pep Sicilian had such a crispy crust and was super filling. The inside was very clean and had darts and pool as well as pin ball. It was also decorated nicely for Christmas which was nice too. I'll be sure to keep coming here. Keep killing it devil dog
What a great pizza joint hidden in the west suburbs of Chicago. This place has tasty, new jersey style pizza. Crust was crisp and the flavors were full. I tried the white pizza with fresh garlic/sausage. Delicious combo. I'll be back again to try more. Edit- came back and tried the sausage/pepperoni slice and it was awesome. 5 stars and a great place to grab lunch with friends.
First off, I came in during non-busy hours and was greeted by the owner who was super friendly and welcoming. The inside is fairly large and outdated, but that’s okay. I came for the food. I want to preface by saying I’ve had hundreds if not thousands of slices of pizza from around Chicagoland and can attest to what different styles of pizza should be or need. I had two slices, a margarita and a cheese. Let me tell you that these slices are some of the best east coast thin crust slices I’ve had anywhere in Chicagoland. Made me feel like I was back in New Jersey. The crust was perfect, the pizza sauce had a perfect bite and taste, and the flavors were just all there. I also want to take a second to mention that these slices weren’t even made fresh, these were two slices I picked from the heating trays that were premade earlier. I can only imagine how amazing the fresh stuff is… which really boggles my mind as to how they were this good. If you’re looking for a east coast thin crust, this is your place. Go try it.
We have Been looking for a good pizza place in the area & we finally found one.. Being from Brooklyn NY once we seen them it was a must try.. We tried 4 different slices of pizza 🍕 & all of them were amazing 🤩 Definitely would recommend them..
Great spot for NY style pizza. Staff is all super friendly. Looks like the owner is a retired Marine. Stopped in for a snack today and got the Bruschetta. Was really good. Could use a balsamic reduction drizzle on top to really set it off. Had the pizza several times and like it. A great change of pace from all the Chicago stuff.

What a blast! Such an amazing place ð. So many fishing spots, benches, and everything else! Trails went on forever, never ending exploration. Just make sure to explore the people made paths, there are parts of the old mine that was there. I real
Iâve always lived near this place growing up and now that Iâm 21 I decided to come in for the first time and order a couple of drinks. Bartender was very humble, kind and attentive to all his customers, serving everyone immediately right after as
Easily my favorite park in West Chicago; probably one of the best-kept secrets of the west suburbs. Long red-gravel trails are excellent for walking/running. There is a decent playground with two play structures, swings, a small splash pad, and amp
First time visit for me at this venue, which was for Galactic Empire, a Star Wars metal band. :P The venue is in a small strip mall with some restaurants and businesses. Plenty of parking even for the concert event- you just may have to park a littl
Friendly staff, I had a torta with ham and it was the best sandwich I have ever had, I would rate it number 1 but I also recommend the cemitas poblanas, definitely a must if you're looking for welcoming, quick Mexican food!
