The Slice on 22 - Pizza restaurant in Scotch Plains - 1985 US-22, USA

The nicest owners with delicious and hot New Jersey pizza. Go for the Sicilian, you won’t be disappointed; save room for a homemade cookie :). I was on a work trip from Philly and stopped by for some great Jersey pizza.

I came here because I was traveling in the area and needed to grab a bite. I ordered some pizza but when I say it was amazing…it was amazing. It had a flavor to it that I have not experienced from a pizzeria in a very long time. The people were extremely friendly. The atmosphere was tranquil and very clean! They have billiards in the back so in the late evening maybe the atmosphere will be different. But it was perfect for what I was there for. I cannot wait to go again and try some of their other entrees for I know they are delicious! Highly recommend, I was very lucky to casually stroll in.

Amazing pizza! Tried five different slices — meat and veggies options. All were delicious. Crust was perfectly crisp and the Detroit style had a buttery crust. Tried the cookies and brownies which were equally as great. And you can order a pizza and play pool in the pool room in the back while you’re there. Friendly owners. Thumbs up all around. 👍🏻

We love coming to this pizza shop - almost every week. The owners are so personable and caring. The pizza is fresh and the flavors change frequently. My kids feel right at home and run through the door to chatter away to them about their days. I look forward to playing billiards as well sometime soon.

The pizza is delicious but in particular we love that the restaurant is family friendly. We have 3 kids (2 take jiujitsu lessons next door) and we are weekly regulars because the kids adore the owners, who are so sweet and kind. The store also has pool tables in the back and is a great place for young adults to hang out after enjoying a couple of slices. Highly recommend this gem.

No good. Its a billiards spot disguised as a small pizza shop. Basic small pizza ovens. All the pizza except plain was old and has been sitting for hours. None of the special slices looked appetizing. I ordered 2 slices. 1 plain and 1 pepporoni. I was served 2 old slices however one was changed mid oven heating to give me a "fresh" slice. Indicating it was clearly old. I was still served 1 "fresh" slice and 1 old burnt slice that tasted awful and was immediately spit out. 1 and done. Serving customers food that is clearly old and ready for the garbage, SHAME ON YOU!!

When youre passionate about something, you do what it takes to get it right. When it comes to Chris and Brigette, there is no such thing as a finished project, as innovators will often adjust, re-adjust, break down, build from scratch, do it again or even do it over! This is art, this is perfectionism, and most importantly this is passion. And, they did exactly what it took to get it right. From the initial thought, to all the added ideas, the planning, and the overall vision, I have literally witnessed and was there throughout the majority of the transition. Covid didnt stop them, what makes you think anything else will?! Stop wasting your time and pop in for a pie, shoot a game of pool while you wait, leave a tip, and enjoy a fantastic pie that will certainly have you coming back and adding to your list of pizza joints!
