The Sierra Motel - Motel in Traverse City - 230 Munson Ave, USA

We loved the decor of the room. Beds were very comfortable and had all the amenities we could ask for. The bathroom was beautiful but very very tight. Doing make up and hair was a little challenging. We all agreed we would stay with you again if we were in the area. We also really enjoyed being able to walk to the beach each night. The only other thing was the air conditioning was a little inconsistent and the room would get warm. But that could be operator error on our part! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Sierra Motel. The new owners have done a fantastic job of completely renovating the place inside and out, it's absolutely lovely. A nice touch was the mint in the planters outside, it smelled great. The hospitality at the front desk was also impeccable, you can't beat family-owned Midwest nice! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We left the windows open at night and had no problems with sound. The location is also great! We will be back.

Our experience at The Sierra Motel was fantastic. The new owners have done an impeccable job updating the motel, including some really fantastic artwork. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. We loved the location of the motel. We were easily able to get on the TART trails with our bikes (we were told the motel plans to add bike racks soon so you can secure bike to the racks if you'd like) and we also enjoyed leisurely walking to downtown down historic streets. It's also pretty close to the beach. We would 100% recommend staying here and hope to be able to return at some point.

Such a great place. Where to begin....the retro feel and décor is just so cute and well done! Barrett and Andrea are wonderful host. When booking I mentioned we were celebrating our 35 wedding anniversary and when we arrived they had place a kind note on the table with two glasses along with a wonderful bottle of champagne in the refrigerator. Just a class act! We will most certainly be telling anyone we know traveling to the Traverse City area all about The Sierra Motel and how much we enjoyed our stay! We hope we can make it back again ourselves in the future. Michigan is just a hidden gem for a vacation and this hotel will only add to the memories!

This was our first stay at the Sierra Motel. I stayed for 2 nights with my partner and my service dog. We were immediately made to feel welcome by the hosts and we found the room to be very comfortable. We got some very good rest while here after a long drive from Ontario, Canada. The rooms are all renovated in a cute 50's style. I liked the location as it was just outside the downtown area but everything was accessible by car. Traverse City was fun too and we can't wait to return to spend more time here. We would definitely stay here again.

We were so happy with the experience from the first telephone call that was made to book the room, to the easy check in, the cleanliness of the rooms, the unique design and style, the comfortable bed and clean linens. Thank you for accommodating us and our fur babies. Would highly recommend for so many reasons!

Great place to stay. Within walking distance to downtown area. The room was clean, spacious and well appointed. The bathroom had nice amenities. I really appreciated the 50’s vibe. The bed was comfortable and the tv was placed well and very clear. Highly recommend

This place is so cool! The owners fully renovated it to look like a trip back to the 1950s but have all the current room amenities necessary for a great stay. They sent a text message confirming our arrival and had a bottle of champagne in our room for our anniversary. Could not have been better!
