The Shores Resort & Spa - Hotel in Daytona Beach Shores - 2637 S Atlantic Ave, USA

It's wonderful to take a quick weekend getaway. It's priceless to find a magnificent resort like The Shores. ||I've been a visitor to the Daytona Beach area for many years, having lived just 90 miles south growing up. I've seen many hotels come and go. Some of those remaining really look their age. ||||Traveling with my Favorite Fab One, as soon as The Shores came into view, we knew we were in for a treat. And throughout our entire stay, they DID NOT disappoint. I truly do wish I could give them more stars.||||The overall impression that defines this property is Attention to Details. There were no hidden flaws, no dust swept under the rug, as it were. ||The level of details and the care and execution are superb. Kudos to those responsible for this gem!||||I must mention our check-in experience was absolutely incredible, under the guidance of Robyn. She went WAY above and BEYOND to start our visit off on the right foot. First impressions make such a huge difference, and Robyn actually made us feel thrilled to be here. Seriously. ||||I'll also mention the Valet, Octavio. Usually they are the unsung heroes, rarely mentioned. Octavio wasn't just parking cars. No. He was a caretaker, ensuring our visit was flawless the moment our feet touched down. I took some extra time to talk with him, which I love doing. You learn so much about those around you, and I feel it helps both parties walk away with a good feeling. ||||Back to that mantra, Attention to Details. We felt very comfortable with the level of informative communication via texts provided to us by this property. Every possible question answered or a source for answers was given. We were blown away to see we even had the option to use our cell phones as a room key to access our room! We did not take advantage of that service, but we are anxious to try it out, our next visit. ||||Amenities are top notch. Our room was huge with a great view. The beds were SOOOO comfy. We got a kick out of getting a couple of free drink certificates at the bar, AND a voucher for the goodies to make S'mores after sunset at the firepit outside. ||Oh! Add in a SpaceX rocket launch while we were burning those marshmallows! Very appropriate, another reach for the stars. Yeah!|| ||I guess I'll end this with a little quip.||Surf, S'mores, rockets and more. All-inclusive at The Shores.

Starting with the good, the opportunity to see the most beautiful sunrise was priceless. The room was clean, but the bed and pillows were uncomfortable for both of us, and the bathroom vanity was particularly small. The service at the restaurant was unfortunately poor. We went for breakfast at 8:15 which was 15 minutes after the restaurant opened. We were completely ignored by the host then told, after having to ask if he could seat us or take our name, that the host was on break...already?! About 10 minutes later, I asked the same gentleman at the podium if we'd be able to sit outside. He said they were not seating outside because of the weather, which by the way was a little chilly, but beautiful, especially with the view. He also commented that they didn't have the staff to serve on the patio. By the way, the patio seating is literally an additional handful of steps away from the indoor tables. We waited for about 35 - 40 minutes while continuing to be ignored and not even have our name taken. At that point, I went to the front desk and notified them of what was taking place. The woman agreed the lack of service was unacceptable and had us seated outside immediately. We were ultimately able to enjoy a lovely breakfast with the sight and sound of the ocean. We have stayed here a few times in the past and didn't mind spending the extra money, but things have changed, and not for the better. We will not be returning.

If I could rate this resort more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! The staff was beyond accommodating to both my wife and I for our entire trip. The hotel itself was gorgeous and super clean, our room was PHENOMENAL, and the food and service were exceptional. We also got to enjoy the spa which I HIGHLY recommend! The spa itself is incredibly beautiful, but the massages and pedicures we got were so amazing! Kara and Michelle did a great job on my wife and my massages and Cindy did great on our nails. Will DEFINITELY be returning!

Great views of the ocean from our room. Hotel location very convenient and in a nice area. Great service and friendly staff from checkin, lounge/bar, and the restaurant. Reasonably priced especially for the location and ocean front room with a balcony. Great atmosphere and very clean throughout the entire hotel.

What a wonderful hotel. I can't say enough good things about the staff first and foremost. Everyone was incredibly helpful whether it was a bartender or server, someone at the front desk, housekeeping, etc - they were all friendly and willing to find an answer even if they didn't have it. The food was delicious - definitely get the pizza or the giant hot dog. The sweet potato fries had a sprinkling of sugar on top that made them the best I've ever had. The location is perfect, you can walk right off of the beautiful patio (definitely sit by the fire pits at night) onto the beach. This is the ideal spot for a Daytona getaway.

At The Shores Resort & Spa, the picturesque beachfront setting is matched only by the exceptional service. A standout was Frankie at reception, whose warm welcome and attentiveness transformed our stay into a memorable experience. His local knowledge and readiness to assist. Frankie's personal touch greatly enhanced our visit, making The Shores Resort & Spa a highly recommended destination for a delightful beach escape.

Everything was 5/5 about this resort! If I could give it a 10/5 I would! That’s how incredible the resort is! From the rooms to the staff, I have a list of good things I could say about my stay! My overall experience was amazing! From the moment I arrived the staff was unbelievably kind and welcoming! The front desk greeted us with a smile The hotel is beautiful with its ocean front views. 😍 The lobby is so cozy with its multiple places to work spaces and the dining options are perfect! The hotel has everything you need and more all in one place! I loved it!

This was billed as a resort and we were charged as so, but it was sad to see how every other guest had a dog in the hotel. Definitely makes you think was a dog or dogs in our room prior, plus the rooms surely did not have a high- end resort feel. After returning from dinner at only 9:42 and we go to the bar only to find out they quit serving but yet there were six people still drinking. As if matters couldn't get worse the next morning we were awakened by a barking dog. Totally unsatisfactory across the board.
