The Shores Inn - Motel in Ventura - 1059 S Seaward Ave, USA

The location of the Shores Inn was great. The piece that was not great and worth one star, was the fact that there was no water when we returned from dinner. No warning and no communication from the motel until late in the morning. We arrived back to the motel after dinner and no using the toilet, unless you want it to turn into a porta potty experience, no brushing teeth, and no shower in the morning. No one answered our calls the night before. No notes left on the doors - just a motel full of people standing around discussing that no one had any water and no one heard anything about it. The lady in charge said she would 'see what she could do' about discounting our rate - yet she was conveniently not available at check out time. No water....?? What sort of crap experience was this. The motel is not cheap. The establishment has not returned any calls. I see the high reviews here and I have read reviews where there is that one person complaining. But - I have the dates, witnesses, and this place did not handle a difficult situation as they should have.

Good pillows beds are comfortable. Safe area beach walking distance and restaurants. Have stayed there several times and was great. Coffee sweet pastry and cereal beagles with cream cheese. They have a water filter machine to refill your water bottle

I liked staying here. it's an old Motel with great touches like sea creatures on the walls of the Property and on the little patio walls with each room. It's on a short street with a 2 minute walk to the beach. Cool places to eat right by and we felt safe walking to the beach at night. The Lady that checked us in was so Nice! She let us know that they were doing renovations and painting. The room was CLEAN. Shower has great water pressure. We had 2 Queen beds and 1 was pretty awful but the other one was ok I just like firmer mattresses but I slept fine. Room has no closet but has a pretty good size fridge, a microwave and a BIG Smart TV! The room we had had a missing handle on the drawer, broken towel bar and worn furniture. So 4 stars for that but I know how hard it is when a Motel is private owned and not a chain. You can't just run out and buy new stuff. Sometimes you have to just keep what you have. I love Motels so it didn't really bother me but if you're a snob it might. This place has potential and I would love to stay again after the painting and other things. They had a breakfast with Cereal, bagels, pastries , tea and coffee. Pretty basic but fine for a light breakfast. You can walk to several places if you want a big breakfast. This was also less expensive than even the Motel 6 and so close to the Beach makes it great! I would have no problem staying here again and the Staff/Owner? was super nice! Thank you for our stay!

Very close to beach. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Matthew at the front desk was welcoming and very knowledgeable of the area and full of suggestions. Matthew being my first staff member when checking in made me feel better about my stay. Affordable and of good value for the money. Quiet.

Super cute beach stay!!!! The staff was really friendly and amazing!! It’s a great location and you are literally on the beach! My 12 year old son loved it so much he wants to go back for longer! I highly recommend this hotel!! It is 20/10 💙💙💙

very comfortable clean and nicely made beds, nice shower, tv with lots of options, great location, and friendly staff. i didn’t run into any problems during my stay. truly a great experience. i would definitely stay here again as well as recommend it🤗

This is officially my family's new home away from home!! A short 2 minute walk to the beach from the door of my hotel room, and only a 45 minute drive from the front door of my house, this is going to be our getaway go-to from now on! With inflation driving everything from milk to McDonald's up against our budget sheet; Shore Inn brings home the win for our family of four. Multiple times I was told this was the best family vacation EVER this weekend.|Priceless!

Awesome hotel, with great location, friendly staff. Always love staying here. Cute little bbq/smoking area and I get a patio with two chairs and table out front perfect to chill out after a day at the beach. Also dog friendly!
