This is such a cute great location! Love the rooms they have been remodeled and are super chic! The beach is a short walk down the street and there is a grocery store and great restaurants to walk to near by! I would recommend this place above many other hotels in the area!

We stayed on the top floor and it had a great view and a large private deck with good outdoor furniture and a really nice large well appointed room. Great bed and bedding. It is an older hotel that has been redone and although it has some "old" issues, like the shower water pressure would fluctuate and aesthetics like some of the concrete around the ceiling outside is chipping off and the private staircase to the top floor is unusable, it was still quite nice. Great location and privacy on the top floor, but it is a lot of stairs up the main staircase to the top floor, so don't rent it if you don't want to walk up 3 floors a few times a day. Quaint pool, the hotel staff are very friendly. I would easily stay there again.

Really great hotel. Room very clean and comfortable. Had heat in the evening to take the chill off.|Staff were all amazing - extremely helpful and friendly. Had a small problem in my room and it was fixed promptly and completely. I had been staying across the street (as an IHG member), but this was a far superior experience.

We loved, loved, loved this little Motel. The room was beautiful. We had no issues finding a parking spot every evening. We did not have to pay to park, as it was part of the package we booked, but I believe it is normally 10 bucks a night. Free coffee, tea and oatmeal packs in the lobby. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Staff very friendly and helpful. The location was very nice. Walked to Windansea beach everynight for the gorgeous sunsets. Breakfast at the Cafe next store was reasonably priced for their bagel sandwiches. Several restaurants within walking distance. The Promiscuous Fork was our favorite. Very short drive to La Jolla cove and Pacific Beach. Easy 25 minute drive to The Zoo and Old Town, where we took the Hop ON, Hop Off bus for a tour of San Diego. It was our first time in the area and we really enjoyed it. Would not hesitate to recommend this gem!!!

Don't let the exterior of the place frighten you. Inside the rooms are super clean, modernized and well appointed with lots of outlets and plugs, a spacious shower, and a bathroom sink that's got storage in a modern way. it was a well designed room that was fresh, modern and immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable. The facility has a pool that, although does not look that inviting was immaculately clean. The hotel room towels were substantial and fresh and there's a great coffee shop just outside the parking lot. It's only two blocks to the Beach. All in all it was a great stay.

Staying here for one week. A few things: 👍safe community, rooms quiet, walking distance to the beach(they offer one hour free biking to the guest), hot tub is awesome, parking is free, the manager (Tricia) is very friendly and professional 👎 WIFI is hard to connect (cut off often as well), literally !NO! view…( was misled by some main pictures from the website…chose here originally for the view), cleaning service based on request(also found some bugs and mosquitoes..), and one of the representatives on the front desk (Kyla) is kinda hard to communicate …

100% recommend this hotel! Super clean, super quiet, rooms are huge! The staff was beyond nice and so accommodating! Tricia made such a huge impact on us . She is the nicest person and she deserves a raise for how awesome she is! The best part was how close the walk to the beach is! We will definitely be staying here again!

Clean and newly renovated room with any amenity you might need (iron, shampoo, lotions, microwave). Comfortable bed, blackout shade for privacy, a short walk to beautiful Windansea beach. I asked for a quiet room and got one. All at a reasonable price. No housekeeping for under a 3 night stay but that didn’t bother me and extra towels etc for the asking. I had no car and the public bus to La Jolla Village was close by, very reasonable and easy! Would definitely recommend and stay again.
