My family and I stayed at the Shepherd Hotel in Clemson for graduation in December. We could not have been more impressed with the hotel and staff! We arrived at midnight and the front desk person immediately helped us with bags, checked us into our rooms and parked the car for us. The rooms are lovely and stylish with comfy beds. The restaurant in the lobby has great food too! The location is also great. We walked everywhere - even to graduation!
The hotel design is impeccable and the decor is perfect with attention to every detail. I particularly loved the intimate and cozy 3rd floor bar and the gorgeous tree mural in the stairwell. Shout out to the General Manager Charlie who tracked down the information on the mural when I emailed him.

My family and I stayed at The Shepherd Hotel a few days before Christmas while visiting family nearby. This hotel completely exceeded our expectations in every way! The staff were all amazing (front desk, restaurant, etc.) every time we encountered them. We ate at the restaurant in the lobby (Delish Sisters), and it was so amazing that we ate there both mornings we were there, so tasty! The rooms were also very nice, clean, and the decor/details were outstanding.
We have stayed at most hotels in Clemson before but when we come back to Clemson to visit family, we will for sure be staying at The Shepherd Hotel!
Stay at the Shepherd Hotel for a weekend in January and was so impressed. The staff is so attentive with great positive energy! From the valets to the reception desk to the Delish Sisters restaurant staff, I was impressed with every interaction. The rooms are clean and new and well-appointed. The location is fantastic. Highly recommend.
Being out of state and with two kids at Clemson over the last several years, we have been fortunate enough to stay at all of the hotels in town outside of the "budget" category. While we have had great experiences everywhere that we have stayed and believe each property has something to offer, the Shepherd Hotel stands out for many reasons, especially the people and their mission to Clemson Life. Every member of the hotel team that we have encountered has been wonderful. However, we could never say enough good things about Charlie, the hotel AGM. He is a true professional and no request is too large or small for him. We were fortunate to have met Donna at Delish Sisters over Parent's Weekend. The restaurant was very crowded, but Donna almost made us feel like we were dining in her home. Nolan, at the front desk, is another standout. There aren't enough words to thank him for all of his help!!!

While visiting our daughter at Clemson, my wife and I had the good fortune to stay at the Shepherd Hotel. The location couldn't be better, the room was great, the staff outstanding, and it was refreshing to simply walk down for a meal and drink. During the busy weekend, it was great to see the Management team roll up their sleeves and help out where needed. I have the utmost respect for the co-founder and manager Rick who was clearing and washing tables! I would highly recommend staying at the Shepherd Hotel if visiting Clemson.
The facilities and accommodations were beyond outstanding, and the kindness shared by every employee we encountered during our stay was genuine and heartfelt. While it started with co-founder Rick Hayduk, who was on the frontline and busy the entire time, the same appreciation and gratitude was felt all the way to Rachel, EJ, the Front Desk, Kitchen and Valet staff. Just an absolutely magnificent and memorable weekend all the way around. I'll be certain to visit as often as possible so that I can enjoy my time in the Clemson area while supporting The Shepherd and its mission "to positively impact the lives of others."|
We had the pleasure of staying at The Shepherd Hotel in downtown Clemson, SC in October 2023. Our superior king room was well appointed, clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel has a mid century modern meets the South feel. We didn’t hear noise from neighbors, the hall, or street during our stay. Rooftop patio views are fantastic. Service was top notch from the valet to front desk reception. And the location cannot be beat. If you’re on the fence, book this hotel straight away!
The Shepherd Hotel located in the heart of Clemson is a great place to grab brunch with your girlfriends! We enjoyed delicious food and cocktails. Our fabulous bartender named Rachel was super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the atmosphere more fun and inviting. Highly recommend!

Small place that packs a big punch! They have an incredible collections of gems and precious stones and even a fluorescent stones room. They have gems from many places in SC, which is super cool to see. The adjacent room to the gems is full of fossil
