As many have commented before, the staff at this property stand out for stellar service. It is not very often that someone at the front desk empathizes with you. But it happened multiple times during our stay. They really wanted us to have a wonderful stay. When we arrived we requested a mini fridge, microwave and tea kettle and all were delivered immediately. The location is excellent, right across the street from Oceanside Pier and a beautiful beach. We stayed in an ocean facing room which is amazing but can be a bit noisy from the street activity. (Although much quieter with the sliding glass doors closed.) We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. As has been mentioned it can be pretty busy with kiddos but they are also very entertaining. If you go to the beach, there is staff from the hotel that will set out chairs and umbrellas for you. They were so helpful and friendly. The gym is well equipped with multiple types of devices. This hotel is a little pricey but the service is top notch. We really enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I gave Seabird a shot for our babymoon after looking into other local options (we live in SD). It's just far enough away that it felt like a mini escape. We LOVED it here. Everything from the vibe, decor, amenities, to the staff interactions - it was just lovely and really made us feel spoiled. We even had help setting up our beach chairs and umbrella (complimentary provided by Seabird) which was a nice added touch, especially with me being pregnant. The location is fabulous, we enjoyed eating at Piper, Shoreroom, and wandering to Parlor Donuts as well. There were a lot of families and kids, but we were able to do our own thing without tons of noise. Especially nice that we could enjoy the pool and amenities at Mission Pacific nextdoor (more adult vibe). Tip: if you want to lounge at the pool, either reserve your loungers or get there early. For dinners we loved driving into Carlsbad village (7 min drive) to eat at Campfire and Nick's on State. Highly recommend both. Additionally, we each got massages (the best ones ever) at Sunny's in Seabird and enjoyed the spa amenities including lounging in the relaxation room, husband enjoyed the sauna and we both loved the cold plunge mist/shower that uses eucalyptus and mint oil (so refreshing!). Our room was great, we got a partial ocean view and enjoyed seeing the pier each day. Beds were comfy, as were pillows - and the overall decor felt refreshing and vibrant. 10/10 stay - we had a great trip!

We arrived around 4:45p and our room had not been ready yet - no big deal. We received a call 15 min or so after so we didn't have to wait long. When we got up to our room the room description did not match with what i thought i had booked on the Costco travel site. I had booked an ocean view room and our view was basically overlooking brown roofs of the homes across the street. Front desk managed to get us a better room overlooking the pool with a partial ocean view however it still was not fully ocean view (which is what i was expecting, otherwise i would've booked the partial ocean view room option). It took about an hour from check in to moving to our final room so i wasn't too pleased with that. The room we had been moved to also had luggage in there already so there was some miscommunication it seemed like from the front desk to whoever was handling the room inventory in the back office. Bathroom countertop was not clean. The next day i wanted to grab breakfast take out however it seemed like Piper was not offering take out that morning or the morning after which seemed odd to me. I wish there had been an easy grab and go market for items we quickly needed but there wasn't anything available to quickly grab. There was a movie night at the pool one night that we attended with our daughter but there were technical difficulties with the network connecting which led to an internet alert appearing on the screen every 20-30 minutes interrupting the movie experience for everyone. Popcorn was provided however it took so long that the staff didn't start handing out the popcorn until the movie was already halfway/almost finished. We ended up leaving early. The pool is ok but wish the jacuzzi was bigger - it was packed and uncomfortable.||||There were quite a few setbacks but i did appreciate the kind staff, location of the resort, and the chair/umbrella/toy rentals on the beach were nice. We hope to come back again with a much better experience.

The hotel was a perfect to create memories for a summer family birthday staycation. I booked a room a couple of nights and hosted my birthday guests and entourage with spa treatments, fire pit beach rental, happy hour and dining. Everyone enjoyed it and it made an impression! Just a few minor things that did not make sense or was not aware. 1) The local discounts were not honored as stated on the website: I only received 10% off on the Shore Room on Tuesday, instead of 20% and the valet was not complimentary for booking the spa treatments on a weekday. 2) Access to the beach fire pit was not easily accessible for someone in my party with ADA, but I am sure that could be accommodated if I had mentioned it to staff prior. 3) I had a beautiful serene view of the ocean from my balcony until the Disney movie came on at the poolside. It seems that there are other locations to play the movie within the hotel to double dip on revenue opportunities. Not sure why this was at the pool since many are all trying to get away from screen time during vacation. 4) There is only two guest elevators at this huge hotel and one of them was down, skipping a couple of times to pick up people from the top floor with luggage. The first floor did not have signage for those heading up that could take the stairs. Other than that these few minor issues, we made the best of it and hope to be back!

We have a nice time celebrating my husband's birthday here. Front desk gave some chocolate and upgraded us to partial ocean view. Unfortunately, it was overcast both days we were there. Building looks new, there were some scuff marks on wall and spots on carpet, hopefully they'll maintain the place. Mattress were comfy and firm to our liking. Room was well insulated, we couldn't hear the neighbors much and we have the pool right by balcony which didn't really get too loud although they were blasting the music both days we were there (Fri&Sat). AC works very well, could barely hear it which was great. Shower stall was large with good water pressure even with the rain shower head. Each floor has ice machine and there was a dedicated AC unit in the room! They also have filtered water but it can only handle dispensing 2 skinny 16oz bottles that they provide at a time. Love their fitness center though, its got a good mix of equipment and they keep it cool in there! Proximity to the beach and pier was great, they also offered beach chairs if you wanted to hang out there and discounted surfing lessons. Parking is valet only and cost $47/night. Thankfully there's a public parking spot right across that's only $5/night. We didn't mind going out at midnight to pay, it was much nicer and calmer at night than during the day Checkout was easy over the app, but there was no dedicated place for key drops. It was annoying to me that we have to wait for front desk as we didn't want to interrupt the other guests who are getting checked in. After waiting for more than 5 mins, I did just that to drop off the keys 😐

I took a mother daughters trip here and got the best room possible. I think it was called grand estate suite? You walk in and you are completely blown away! It is incredibly gorgeous. It should have been perfect. However, they just are not up to the task. This is the kind of room that has a Butler’s pantry. It was not stocked at all. We often stay in rooms like these and ahead of time we are able to tell them what we would like to have in our Butler’s pantry, such as particular sodas, etc. Mind you this room is several thousands of dollars per night. As others have mentioned, the mattress was awful and on our first night there, as we were ready to crash, we realized we could not sleep in that squeaky bed and I had to call housekeeping and they had to come up and take the plastic cover off of the mattress. Absolutely insanely ridiculous! I asked why they even have that and she said because a lot of families stay there and so this protects the mattress. another huge problem is the pool is way way way too small for the hotel when it is at full capacity. The best thing about this hotel is how nice every single person is. The beach is not great at all. While we were there, some sort of rally was going on and it was VERY loud. There was also a movie at the pool, which was extremely loud. It sounded like it was in our room. Please don’t stay in this room. As gorgeous as it is, the price versus the negative aspects is not at all worth it. You can use the pool at the sister hotel. At both pools, our whole weekend, we could not get a seat! I sat on the very hot concrete one day, as did others. This is really wrong! The food is so mediocre. It’s sad because this could really be a fabulous place, but it is not. I felt gypped and duped. The area is not good. There were loud cars cruising constantly. I wish San Diego had a good beachfront resort.

I stayed at the Seabird Resort last summer, and I can say for sure that it's one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The rooms were new and clean and gave us a nice view of the pool and the pier. The receptionists were very helpful and welcomed guests with glasses of champagne. You can also request beach chairs for when you go to the public beach. There are a lot of activities for kids near the pool area and once a week the kids can watch a movie by the pool. Additionally, the Top Gun House, which is near the resort, made my experience in Oceanside unforgettable.

We felt pampered from the moment we arrived. Complimentary bubbly on upon check in, fabulous Bellman, extra care from housekeeping and the room was fantastic. Ocean view with a private balcony and all the amenities made me want to stay just to take advantage of everything!
