We love this place. Stayed for my 60th bday. When we arrived we were told that the pool/hot tub was down indefinitely. We were disappointed because it's one of the things we love. By early evening it was fixed. For our inconvenience they gave us a nice breakfast. |Suite, bedding, towels etc all clean & cozy.|All of the staff members we interacted with were courteous & helpful. The grounds are beautiful and you're right on the beach. Added bonus= pet friendly!

Our little bungalow was very close to the bonfire pits, right by the ocean. Our suite was beautiful, gorgeously furnished, and the bed was super comfy! It was lovely being able to fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean. The staff were impeccable as will, very professional and extremely helpful. The food is amazing, I especially love their system where you not only write what you want for breakfast the night prior, but even the time you want it delivered! Very unique and much appreciated. They were also accommodating of my pet houseducks Wobbles and Bean, which is rare for such luxury resorts, even pet friendly ones. Spa amenities are nice, I wish I'd used them more during our stay. ||The only drawback was that they're doing construction on the site currently, so the workmen were jackhammering away at 7:00 AM each morning making it impossible to sleep in. But that's just bad timing on our part and I don't hold it against them, it's a bit silly to expect any place of business to never do any renovations or building maintenance.

We have visited here many times. However, this is our first time back since the pandemic. We would have returned earlier. However, the prices have almost doubled. What once was somewhat expensive ($400/night on a weekend) for an Ocean Front Jr. Suite turned into $750-$1,000+ for the same room, depending on times of year. I gave up staying here but stumbled across a "deal" I came across a couple of months ago. It was the same amount as years past. To confirm, they sent an email for 25% off for a stay. Looked up some dates (even the ones we stayed currently) and the cost were again doubled. The only real benefit is access to a beach that no one is on and dog friendly. Just note, what used to be $50/day fee for a dog(s), turned into $50/a day per dog. Also, they started renovating the majority of their Ocean front suites. We got ore of a view of dunes, as well as someone that had a room above us. It sounded like they were running wind sprints. I mentioned my concerns to the front desk, but they are well trained to deflect and not care.

Beautiful spot but arrived for two night stay and power was out in the area. Only source of heat was fireplace which was electric ignition so room was 56 degrees until power returned around midnight. Then had no TV or telephone that night and no TV until around 9pm the second night. No lanterns provided or anything so place completely unprepared for power outage and offered no compensation or accommodation for all the inconvenience and their lack of preparedness. Even wrote to the manager who never responded so place has work to do on guest services as they should have been at least a little prepared and it should not have taken over another 24 hours to get TVs up and running which was not a broad issue and unique to the hotel.

We had the most amazing girls’ birthday weekend at Sanctuary Beach Resort. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Gorgeous, oceanfront location with a delightful restaurant (if you’re lucky enough to have Danny as your server, the experience will exceed all of your expectations!) The food was phenomenal and worth a visit even if you’re not staying (but you really should!) They have a spa, pool, hot tub, and the highlight (if you can pick just one) were the beachfront fire pits to watch the sun go down and end the day with a s’mores roast! ♥️ Fantastic stay, wonderful staff. Can’t wait to return for work retreat!

The staff was amazing. The location was beautiful. The rooms were not great. The fireplace never worked (even after asking them to fix it). We didn't have hot water (that's kinda big when you want to take a hot shower, which we all wanted to do). There were even ants in the room. The location has potential, unfortunately I feel the price paid was for the eventual potential which I hope they one day achieve. Everyone was super nice. Perhaps we were just unlucky during our stay.

I recently stayed at the Sanctuary resort and that provided an exceptional experience. The service was top-notch, with attentive and friendly staff making my stay truly memorable. The highlight of the resort was the S'mores fire pits, where I enjoyed delicious treats while gazing at the beautiful beach view. The cozy and comfortable rooms added to the overall charm, making it a perfect getaway for relaxation and luxury. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a fantastic beachside retreat with excellent service.

This hotel has so much potential. we were looking forward to our getaway. Our experience was awful. We booked an ocean view suite for a thanksgiving holiday. Our bathroom and room had mold. The window sills had cog webs. We expressed concern to front desk but unfortunately there was nothing they could do. We were downgraded to a standard room due to availability from their property construction project . There was no mention on their website of construction on property. This hotel is not worth the price. Better to stay in Carmel or in Monterey.
