We found this place after researching for the best sandwich in town, it was just as great and yummy like everyone raves! The truffle fries were absolutely deeeelicious too and dipping sauces were bomb! Definitely a must try. It's a small spot but packs a punch with the food! We went early and before we left it was packed. So recommend going early otherwise you find yourself waiting. 100% highly recommended
Small quint space tucked away from the main road in downtown Mount dora. A little tricky to find as it's main entrance is off a single lane side alley way. No nearby parking around the restaurant but the area is designed for walking so there are parking areas on the periphery. Outdoor space is small and also some indoor seating. Took the food to go so it was a little soggy for us because of the time inside the container. But looking at it fresh the french fries were crisp and salty. The gluten free cheese and tuna sandwiches were really tasty.
We obsessively researched The Salted Fry while planning our trip and still were pleasantly surprised by how adorable it is. My husband and I split a large pizza fry and it was just enough food *as lunch* for two. If this was just a snack, it might have been too generous a portion. My mom had the chicken salad sandwich and I'm pretty sure my child tried every variety of 'sprinkle' on his fries. The ghost pepper ketchup was so good we grabbed a bottle to go.
Service was fantastic in this cute town. Found the salted fry while walking around mount dora which is an absolute gem. Meandered down this aisle as there was a cosmetic shop I wanted to try out. Decided to stop at the salted fry and so glad we did. The poutine was excellent and the team was so nice. It was the perfect snack for an afternoon of walking around and enjoying the town. The poutine gravy was excellent and everything was made to order. I highly recommend this place when you’re in Mount Dora.
Not much to rate for atmosphere, it’s small with limited seating indoors, and seating outside. We ate here because it stated gluten free and celiac friendly. While I don’t have celiac, we do struggle with stomach pain after eating at most restaurants where we get a sandwich and fries. Not today though, after enjoying our nice sandwiches, I got the foxy Reuben, which was made with pastrami not corned beef, the fries where so light and crispy, we stated how much we enjoyed our lunch, and how great we felt. We’ll be back.
Super cute little shop, love the real tree trunk bar stools. Great atmosphere, girls working the counter were very nice. I tried the peaked hill and my hubby got the poutine, both were very good! The in house ranch is absolutely fabulous! I thoight the fries were just a it over done, hubby disagreed and thought they were perfect, all a matter of perspective. They did hold up to the sauce very well. The baskets were served with tiny little forks which were just the cutest! We will be back in town next weekend and can't wait to go back and try the sandwiches too!
We were looking for a quick bite to eat around lunch time and had a hankering for fries. Couldn't be happier with what we received! We ordered a Peaked Hill and a coupe of sodas. The large is more than enough for two people as we couldn't even finish it. The location is a bit small, but there is seating both inside and out. Drinks are a bit pricey and individually bottled. Also serve alcohol like beer, cider, and wine slushies.
Hidden in an alleyway, you'll find this cute eatery. I came here with an objective to eat some good fries! I opted for normal fries as it was my first time here, instead of their poutine, pizza, or other loaded options. A large fry was plenty to share and fries were so incredibly crispy!!! My husband ordered the BLT which he found really enjoyable. The bacon was perfectly cooked, and the bread slightly seasoned. I got a simple chicken sandwich which came on the softest bread and felt stuffed with sliced chicken. Our sandwiches came with a pickle slice and either potatoes salad, coleslaw or chips too. I didn't expect to leave so satisfied and full. Great option for a simple meal with a side of gluttony (fries) to share. The indoor and outdoor areas have limited seating, but there were no issues finding somewhere to sit. The bathroom is really large with handicapped railing.
We regret not coming sooner. We loved their shakes! The owners were so helpful and friendly. Definitely a go-to when running errands or you missed a meal. Their menu is filled with protein, low sugar, and a variety of nutrients in every cup.
What a nice surprise in this adorable little town. Lots of local wildlife to see. In our short walk (30 minutes), weâve seen snakes, gators, turtles and dozens of birds
My husband and myself stay here for Anniversary on December 6-9.This on 2nd time and we plan on staying again. Dennis and Gwendolyn are excellent hosts and make you feel right at home. There home made breakfast are awesome and everything is bought at
Best fried chicken Iâve had around here. Itâs hand battered and fried to order. They have an array of sauces and rubs to choose from. I got the chicken sandwich with mild Buffalo sauce, seasoned fries, and loaded street corn. Everything was hot a
We visited the flea market about 10 minutes away and wanted to explore the town. Very beautiful place to take pictures and just sit around on a bench and read or just have a conversation with your favorite person. We couldn't walk more around the are
