It was maybe the middle of the day when we visited, so it was a little quiet but the atmosphere was still welcoming! Service was friendly and quick, and the food was DELICIOUS. The specials menu sounded amazing and the prices were terrific! Looking forward to going back!
Excellent food. Very mom and pop friendly place for delicious breakfast. They have gluten free bread. And most items can be made gluten free! Only thing I would change would be for the grit cake to be deep fried!
Good food, but much of it seemed similar with small variations. The meal tasted great. Most things are based around eggs, so if you want something more sweet you would be looking at only one or two choices. Not that those choices are bad, just limited. We sat outside because the weather was perfect so I didn't get a good idea of the internal atmosphere but seemed spacious for a smaller restaurant. It was friendly and comfortable and I enjoyed my time here.
Just so perfect for light lunch! Avocado skillet and Shrimp on grits cake and fresh berries were so yummy!!!
Fantastic breakfast and lunch. Simple fresh ingredients, prepared to perfection. We have been back three days in a row! The green shakshuka, grit cake platter... Try it with fresh vegetables, avocado skillet, pastrami hash, beet salad... Try the shakshuka over a grit cake... Wow! Outdoor and indoor seating and the nicest wait staff... Best in the area! Thank you all at the Roost!!!
Wonderful food and service. The tomato gorgonzola soup was amazing!! And the shrimp and grits was also out of this world! Our server, Mickey, was very knowledgeable and was on top of everything. It was a wonderful experience
It is a fine place for breakfast/lunch/dinner. You have choices... Wrap was okay, grit cake was interesting, yogurt granola was okay - nothing exceptional. We may come back but this time trying to avoid rush hour (9.30-11.30am)
The food was good - well priced, well displayed, and Delicious. I thought it was odd that the place seemed so empty. But as I watched people come in, I figured it out. Every phonecall they got was people asking what the restaurant's specials are. Every person who walked in went right to the special's wall. This place is a real gem - but needs a massive overhaul of the menu. The core menu was, unfortunately, very basic. From what I saw, I wasn't the only one who felt that way. But their specials were unusual and delicious! They need to take more risks on their menu, I think.
10/10 on the entire experience. Location is just far enough from that city to be a nice getaway. The staff aims to please and is incredibly responsive in person and over email. The rooms are beautiful and cozy with a mini living room - the bed was in
For our summer wedding, we envisioned an intimate, forested event in the Hudson Valley. The ElmRock Inn was a perfect fit. The afternoon ceremony itself in the cedar arbor was absolutely beautiful as the sun streamed through the forest behind us. Our
A Stone Ridge classic. Most people stop for bagels and coffee, which are delicious. However, I often find myself often stopping in to get the falafel sandwich for lunch. Always perks me up and I feel so good after eating it. Great service, just take
