The setting is comfortable, but anticipate a wait as each time I've gone, the wait has exceeded 30 minutes. Now, let's talk about the fried chicken—it's truly fantastic. The Rock has mastered the art of frying it just right, so when you bite into the light and crispy coating, it reveals the tender, juicy meat within.

Scotch eggs were wonderful! Loved the hot bacon spinach salad. Walleye was good. Server wasnt very attentive. The kids steak was over cooked but the precooked it and it came out perfect. Although we had to wait quite sometime for a mid rare thin steak, no discount was added for the kitchens mistake. No management did a table touch. Al in all, good experience. Will definitely be back.

Everytime we visit The Rock, it is a great experience. This is a restaurant with a great feel, delicious food and tasty drinks. Will be back.

I'm confused as to what the vibe is here. It wants to be a local bar but yet the wait staff (who is good) is dressed like it's a formal restaurant. On top of that, the rhubarb margarita was not only sent back by my wife as it was just an off-tasting drink, the table next to us did the same thing. They comped us for that, which I appreciate. That drink needs work. But the food was very good and the stuffed chicken breast was great and my wife enjoyed the pesto pasta. It's a super nice place aesthetically, but the vibe just needs work.

Just tried to have a new Year's Eve dinner here. Did not make a reservation, because it CLEARLY states on the Web site no reservations. Only to be told that tonight is reservations only. With all the ways there are to advertise and communicate it seems like extremely poor management to not let folks who are looking forward to a nice meal at a quaint out of the way place know there would be an exception to the rule. The only indication of any change was a statement that " hours may be changed for new years". Without having experienced the food I would give the management an F.

The Rock at Big Fish Lake is a decent joint to get some grub. There was a half hour wait when we went because they were so busy. They must be doing something right because this place is in the middle of nowhere. The staff were all friendly and the establishment was clean. After we were seated we had our drink orders taken right away. The menu was pretty limited, seafood, salads some sandwiches and dinner items. Their Fried mushrooms are the best I have had anywhere. We started with those as an app and I would highly recommend them to anyone. For dinner I got the Rock Burger which came over cooked and without cheese. The waitress fixed the cheese problem as soon as we could track her down though. Others in my party had the Walleye and the Three Cheese Tortellini and both of those were excellent so maybe it was just a rough day for burgers. The prices average ~$14.00 per meal but they are large meals and pretty good quality. Over all it was a good place that I would go back to if I was ever in this area again.

Absolutely fantastic! Our first visit was last week, we ate inside and had the blue gill dinner. Dinner, drinks, and service were amazing. The waitress told us about the patio on the weekends. We came back the next weekend for woodfire pizza on the patio and it was next level! We are hooked and will be regulars!

The restaurant was nice, up to date, and clean. The staff were friendly. It was busy when we were there and so the staff could not keep up as well as they could have on a quieter day. The food was ok, just not great. The bread was soggy, and the plates messy. I would recommend going on a quiet day. You can see the lake from the outside(depending on where you sit), but it's definitely not on the water.

My kids grew up eating the meat from this grocery. I bought sirloin burger from a chain store and made tacos. My youngest knew immediately and commented that the taco meat tasted horrible. The difference is obvious when cooking as well, the other
