The Roads Bistro - Restaurant in Virginia Beach - 3809 Princess Anne Rd #123, USA

My daughter chose to have our date night here. We arrived early and the place was pretty empty still. It took a bit to get the waiter to our table but he was very friendly once there. They don’t serve sweet tea, only Pepsi products. The menu was a bit confusing, as it seemed like it could be tapas style but that wasn’t clearly defined anywhere on the website or menu. There were plenty of gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options notated clearly on the menu. We both ordered what was considered a meal (pierogis for her, and scallops for myself) with a tomato and mozzarella appetizer. Despite being a “meal” the orders weren’t a hefty serving to say the least. The key lime tart for dessert was good but definitely not a sharable size. Overall it wasn’t a bad experience but this bistro falls into our “one and done” category.

Food was ok. I enjoyed the shrimp tacos with the hot sauce. She advised that the cheese and sauce was overpowering without it so that is a toss up. The crab cakes had a nice exterior but was too wet inside in my opinion. The wings also were delicious but were not cleaned well. Due to this I wouldn’t rank this a high food spot but they do have a wine special half off bottles and glasses which made it better. The cocktails that we tried were also awesome. Overall I would recommend to get drinks and maybe a snack if you hungry and get your meal somewhere else. Vibes are also chill.

This was indeed a great date night! Our waitress, Nicole, was so kind and welcoming and recommended some fantastic drinks and dishes. Everything on the menu is a must-try and is very delicious. Deion was the chef tonight! And he truly made some excellent food!! The live band adds so much rhythm and good vibes to the restaurant that you will never want to leave. Give this fantastic place a try! It has become my local favorite!

First time eating here!!! OMG, this place is great atmosphere and chilled. The staff was super friendly and the place was very clean. I would definitely recommend this place. I'll be back soon for more. No live band was performing the day of my visit.

Honestly, this is our 5th time in and we can’t get enough. Always greeted and cared for by the sweetest and very personable staff. The food somehow is always dumbfounding delicious. We really enjoy the tapas style to get in many flavors in every meal. Also, there’s bar seating, formal dining for the special dates and more relaxing areas so really you can come in for any occasion.

We really enjoyed our first time visiting the roads bistro and the atmosphere and music were great. The place is so chilled, and service is on point. Landon was our waiter last night and was on point with everything from food to drinks. Music was great, we'll be back.

This place! It is upscale yet laid back. When you walk in, it has a feel. The best way to describe it, is that whoever owns it put their heart in it and you can feel it. The food was really good. Just check the photos. The drinks and food match the atmosphere. It’s thoughtful and you will see when you try it. The use of ingredients brings it to another level. The service was wonderful. Highly recommend.

The first thing we ordered was the Shea Crab soup, which was full of crab! It was good but was cold. All the rest of the food we ordered was not what we expected. Not a big selection to pick from, and everything had some interesting seasonings. The place looked great and may be great for just drinks and yo listen to music. Not a fan of the food.
