The property was not busy when we stayed one night in mid August. The check-in and check-out process was friendly and efficient.||We booked a resort side king room and were given a room overlooking the car park. It backed on to the conference room, and appeared to have an adjoining door which could only be into the conference room which was odd. As the hotel was quiet, we didn't experience any noise but were wondering what the room would have been like had there been a conference on.||The decor is quite dark in shades of brown and a little tired although perfectly functional. The room was a decent size with a good mattress and there was a very small balcony. As we booked a non-cancellable rate we felt the hotel offered good value for money. ||There were a couple of improvements that could have improved our stay. There was no coffee making facilities in the room although there appeared to be coffee in the lobby which we didn't see until we were checking out. The main issue was the volume of the music around the pool. The pool would have been a nice place to relax if the music had been ambient background music. It was however a loop of awful fifties, sixties and seventies music of mixed genres from rock and roll to psychedelic played at such a level that you could hear it from some distance away. Who thought that was a good idea?||The hotel restaurant was closed on Monday when we stayed. We tried the Marina Station restaurant at the marina which was also closed due to a 'staff appreciation evening'! We ended up eating at the Lakeview Tavern which offered good food and service so we would recommend eating there.

We’ve frequented this resort for years and have mostly been pleased. The main draws are the restaurant on property, the water park, and view of Lake Chatuge. Our most recent visit left us completely underwhelmed and questioning whether we should look elsewhere for lodging/accommodations. Our room was so damp that the bathroom door wouldn’t even close the entire time of our stay…even using full body weight to try and close. Our sheets were even damp. We all returned home with head colds - possibly due to mold exposure of some sort. The room was in desperate need of a dehumidifier to zap all the moisture out. The carpet in our room was filthy and in need of a good deep cleaning at the very least. For what we pay to stay at this property, I would expect cleanliness and room accommodations to be top notch. You can do better, Ridges Resort. Please consider making some updates to your rooms because they’re waaaaayyy overdue and too many reviews back this sentiment!!!

Everything was perfect! The front desk staff are amazing. The views from any window are breathtaking. The Oaks was delicious!! The rooms were spacious the beds are comfortable. The lawn was a beautiful place to just sit and admire the beautiful landscape

Service and the Wedding Venue was great! Carol, the receptionist, was very friendly and hospitable. I do feel the rooms are pretty pricy and in need of some updating for what they're charging. Outside of attending a wedding there, I doubt I would ever pay that much to stay there again.

We were looking for a weekend getaway. It was last minute and we happened upon this resort. I can't say enough nice things. The staff was wonderful, the food was great, the pool was clean and refreshing, and the s'mores in the evening around the fire were a delight. We will be back in the fall in hopes of catching the colors around the lake at this wonderful new find.

Although it is an older hotel, our room was clean, the lake and mountains are beautiful, staff were friendly and helpful, the marina and restaurants were very good. There are great attractions nearby and kids seemed to love the water park. We had an issue in the building when a water pipe broke but management handled it satisfactorily. We look forward to visiting again.

This place should be called the Bait and Switch Hotel. I’m sure it was very nice 30 years ago, but it certainly is not now. Booked a lake view room only to be told upon arrival that the category didn’t really have a good lake view and I’d need to pay an additional $20 per night for a better view. Be aware that they also add a “resort fee”… but there are no resort amenities that aren’t available at any other average hotel. The room was really dirty. Stains on bed, carpet, walls. Mold on bathroom ceiling. Cobwebs stretching from lamp to the TV. Leftover food in the fridge. Can’t help but notice that many of the positive reviews are from first time posters….. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

This place is amazing. The food at “the kitchen at the oaks“ is second to none. From Brittany the hostess to Mariah the incredible waitress, I have never had a better experience. The rooms in the resort were perfect and the s’mores at the fire pit put the final touch on a wonderful day. We will definitely be back. We were looking for a weekend getaway and got much more than we expected.

So you want 5 star food without the pretentious atmosphere? This place has got you covered. I've never been to a restaurant with a more laid back vibe. The lighting, the music, and the staff were all warm and inviting. The food was out of this world.

Lunch time for three! Order at the counter and they bring to you. Can dine indoors or out on covered porch. Indoor dining area is tight but definitely fits a good BBQ dining spot along with decor. Barely a wait for entrees. Pulled pork sandwiche

Incredible views from the top. The first time I went there was a cloud cover below the top, covering the lake…it was quite a sight to see. You can drive all the way up to the top, but there is limited parking up there. There’s a secondary lot a
