Small, but nice place to relax or have a picnic. Numerous trails. Never too distant from civilization but remote enough for a change of pace.

I love how you can really immerse yourself into nature here. I frequently get lost, but eventually find my way back to the parking area. The trails are marked pretty clearly, but I do recommend downloading the All Trails app just in case you don't want to get lost longer than expected. I do wish there were maps that helped pinpoint where you are. The trails are well managed within reason. During fall and winter, expect more leaves on the ground. Trails can be really muddy after a bunch of rain. There are markings for emergency personnel if you do find that you are lost or if you need immediate help. Definitely take a hiking buddy, stay on the trails, and let someone know where you are prior to visiting in the event of an emergency. Also, keep your eyes on little ones. It's nature, there are insects and animals.

Beautiful and quiet trails. Super nice place for a walk/hike. They even have a bathroom you can use! There are wooded meadows, little creeks, and the paths are well defined with markers. There are different trails that you can follow and they’re all color coded. I would say to not walk here alone because it’s far in the woods, so make sure you have someone with you while you walk. You can hear the birds and when you walk along the creek on the blue trail you can hear the water flowing. The trails are nice and shaded so even if it’s hot out, the shade keeps you cool.

Many hiking trails, but none challenging enough. On second thought, they ARE challenging because they're LONG! Sparse wildlife. Haven't seen any foxes yet, but will keep looking!

Quiet trails that travel through the swamp and ridge. We brought out 3 year old and he made it most of the blue trail (~3 miles). Lots of roots but flat and easy enough for a family hike. The creek follows part of the trail and there are a few little falls and rapids. Beautiful place and we only passed by a few people. 10/10 for family hikes

Absolutely Beautiful area! Lots of trails and it is so nice to take our greyhounds and cat (yes our cat hikes on a harness) to The Ridge. We LOVE that it is so close and having this large wooded area right in our city of Fayetteville. Thank you to all the volunteers that help keep this preserve clean and safe for all the turtles laying eggs! This is a weekend go to for much needed fresh air and peace with nature. So grateful this preserve exists!

Beautiful scenery and nice trails. Had a deer pop up on us while walking which was a nice surprise. There's enough canopy to keep you cool even in the hot weather.

If you're wanting to find a quiet escape in Fayetteville come enjoy this hidden gem. Beautiful natural views with plenty of wildlife. The trails are well kept and visibly marked.
