I have stayed at the Resort at Glade Springs many times over the last 21 years, and I always look forward to it and enjoy it! I learned to fly-fish there in the summer & have played their golf course, but I usually go in the winter to ski at Winterplace, the nearby ski resort, as I just did. The resort's shuttle busses around the resort and to Winterplace make my stay possible as well as enjoyable- their drivers are GREAT! I love Spa & Salon Orange, and almost always treat myself to a pedi, facial, and hair cut & color. Glade's Grill has excellent food, and their bar- where I usually eat- has very good food & very nice, welcoming staff. The Small Talk Cafe is darling, too, & they have lovely pastries & fancy coffees! :-) I love staying in the "Executive Suite" buildings, as they are super-cute, & it feels like you have your own little house- and the shuttle bus drivers are on-call, & turn up at a moment's notice! It's a true southern West Virginia treat, & Highly recommended!

First time here and will say we were a little disappointed. We stayed in the executive suite and the main issue was dirtiness. Almost every bad review below they say they are renovating, but what does that have to do with keeping a room (that’s not being touched) clean? The room size is nice but everything was outdated. The breakfast food was nice. Staff was great. Landscape around the buildings were nice. Bowling alley was so out dated you couldn’t even play a fair game. Every ball we picked up had pieces missing from it and the ball couldn’t even roll straight. Waste of money 100% we honestly feel robbed. Pictures speak for themselves. Very unlikely we’ll be back again & that sucks because we drove 4 hrs 45 minutes to get there, as it was my husband’s Christmas present to me & we wanted to love it. Hopefully they will put people in already renovated rooms or at the Inn.

Absolutely horrible. Worst experience of our lives and we’ve traveled a lot. Check ok was a nightmare - front desk workers were not present and ever uninterested in anything to do with customer service. We were told the manager would be in later and he never called us. Stayed in an executive suite and it was old, worn down, disgusting. It’s dirty, dusty, and just old. Broken tiles in the entryway and the bathroom. Showed drain slow, hot water runs out, doors don’t shut properly, stays cold and dingy. ||Restaurant food was top notch. ||Leisure center was old and from the 70s. Again - staff was mediocre if even present. Definitely not a facility they claim to be. ||At check out I spoke to a Jen who was rude and very unbecoming. All she did was make excuses and blink like a deer. These people are not professionals and are very poor at their jobs. Overhaul your management staff so your resort (more like a super 8) can succeed.

We stayed in a Manor House in Glade Springs Resort, WV. We loved the layout and the amount of room for a large group. However we were very disappointed because it was very DIRTY. The fold out couch had ALOT of rat droppings in it!!! Also the showers were definitely not cleaned with hair on the walls and hair balls by the drain! There was also dog food on the kitchen floor(maybe that was for the rat)! There was also clothing that wasn’t ours found on the floor by a bed. Besides it being dirty it definitely needs some new paint and some updates. It’s sad that they don’t take more pride in the cleanliness. Because of that we won’t be back and I will definitely tell my friends not to go there.

We booked two rooms called Executive Suites to accommodate our family of five. The rooms were pitiful at best. Here are just some of the problems we encountered during our four day stay. Bathroom light blinked constantly. Ran out of hot water each day (rooms apparently have small water heaters instead of endless units). Construction work was taking place underneath us and crew only worked at night time. Crew left all of their trash outside including the used toilet which was never cleaned up our entire stay even after multiple request to the manager (by the way, front desk manager is of no help). Rooms were not cleaned and we had to call each night when we returned from skiing to try and get someone to come out. Even made an in person request to the front desk manager to have them clean the room and no one still showed up that day. Mold and rot in sinks, tubs and floor. Long hairs in bedsheets and the sheets that were for the fold out couch were covered in dirt/sand and stains. There was a very strong smell of septic in one room and I suspect it was from the toilet that would move around on its rusted seat that allowed the smell to permeate. I told the front desk about this but it was never fixed. Remote controls did not work and had the white acid both inside the remote and outside which tells you that no one is really cleaning/checking out the rooms. ||The staff in the multiple restaurants we visited on site were nice and food was good but do not expect a high quality stay if you book the so called Executive Suites and be forewarned that the fellow in charge of the front desk (believe his name was Stephen) is not interested in helping you. We had friends stay in the hotel portion of the property (which was cheaper) and they said their rooms were in much better shape than ours so maybe book there if this is where you go. ||I’ve never written a complaint liked this but I feel that it’s necessary so that whomever is above the front desk manager will be aware of his actions and responses to customers valid complaints. He was of no help to me and was just flat rude to my wife.

My wife and I stayed here several years ago and were extremely happy. However…this time not so much. 1st room we had to change due to bed not being cleaned and trash in the trash cans. 2nd room had MULTIPLE lights out including the main one I the bathroom. The TV had to warm up for 15 mins before we were able to watch it. This was an EXTREMELY important weekend to us and it was a major disappointment. We could have stayed at Country Inns and Suites for way cheaper (almost $200 a night here compared to $100 a night there) and would have had a cleaner room. Serious disappointment on a very important weekend. The only bright spot was Bunkers bar and restaurant. AWESOME food there! I’m

We have stayed at their chestnut lodge cottages. I will say I have stayed in them in 2020 and they were clean and nice and a great experience. This time however is a much different story. The place was absolutely filthy and unkept. There is a mouse living in unit 626, very likely more we reported. Black mold in the bedroom 3 bathroom with an insect covered vent. The carpets so dirty your feet would turn black if you walked on them barefoot. The kitchen cold water knob broken off. Wallpaper peeling off the walls all over the unit. A clear water problem behind the wall in bedroom 1. I tried calling the resort to get help but was told no manager on the property during the day until Thursday. Very disappointed in their upkeep and paying over 1000 dollars for 2 nights is absolutely ridiculous for that kind of unhealthy environment. We were told they planned to renovate them in the future but the state they are in now they are a total hazard and should not be rented in any form.

I came to the Resort at Glade Springs for a Girls Pickleball weekend. All 12 of us enjoyed the courts, and all of the amenities. We played Pickleball, disc golf, bowling etc. We didn't have time to do everything that is offered. The shuttle service made everything effortless! We are already planning our next trip with 16 ladies next year! The Glades Grille was excellent!

Fantastic. Ms Geneva was amazing. She answered all my questions. This is a mainly West Virginian Restaurant. But they make it feel like a local diner. Soft music. With all the favorites. I had the Big Tator Platter for right under $10, that came with
