This is a review of our time with Thousand Trails Membership Specialist Brent Singleton (park review to follow soon). We have been full-timers since Oct. '23 and are on a cross country trip. Our current TT membership came with the purchase of our RV (Camping Pass and Trails collection) and is due to renew Feb. '24. Without going into a lot of detail, Brent did an outstanding job presenting the program. He did NOT sell us a thing - he laid out the options so clearly that making the choice based on our self-interest was easy. The key for you, the customer is to run your own out-of-pocket costs against the costs of the different levels of membership. We were surprised and you just might be too. Thanks Brent!
The campground was very nice in a wonderful lake community with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. We will be back. Communication with campers during a water outage should have been better, though. They were doing repairs so turned off the water, which is totally understandable. But they should have notified us and then remembered to unlock the bathrooms when they were done.
Out of all the thousand trails campgrounds we have stayed at, Lake Conroe is one of the nicest, well kept RV parks in the system. Would we recommend this park to our family and friends? Absolutely!! The people there were super friendly and welcoming. Location was perfect! Right on beautiful Lake Conroe, this park has everything! We will be back!
I've been a member of TT only for a year and this was only my 2nd visit to TT parks. First one was at Medina Lake. We spent a the new year at Conroe last week and I could not have imagined it to be any better. The staff are great. After the first night where I parked my RV I went to the office and they gave my another spot that was a concrete spot. Amanda, the lady in the office and the whole staff are most friendly.
We stayed at Conroe for 3 weeks. Overall, a very nice park with clean bathrooms, rec center and Pickleball courts. Two laundry rooms which are also kept clean. Most of the roads around the campsites are terrible and need to be fixed. They also need to trim a few trees back a little bit. We have great space between us and our neighbor. We would gladly stay there again. The town of Conroe is very close by with all the shopping and dinning you could want. Houston is not that far away and the lake is beautiful.
The gate guard was helpful in giving us a map and showing us where we would most likely find a pull through site long enough for our truck and 5th wheel. This is important to Thousand Trails members who are on the 1st come, first serve situation. We chose section F, site 52/53. The sites are buddy sites, The persons we shared the grassy picnic table and the fire ring area with were good camping neighbors. The parking site was gravel and dirt, with landing blocks we didn't have much trouble leveling. There was a hard freeze winter weather warning while we were there. The park gave us a sheet with tips for dealing with this. They didn't sell propane on site but gave us recommendations. They left water dripping in the bathhouses, activity center, and laundry versus turning it off. So even though we disconnected our trailer water we were able to shower, fill water jugs, and do laundry. The bathhouse and laundry room were clean. You could use quarters or CSC pay app to do laundry. It was $1.75 per load. The exercise room in the activity center looked nice. The billiard room also had a poker card table and was well kept. The town of Willis had a Kroger and H.E B. The Pizza Shack had much more on their menu than pizza.
We loved our short stay wish it was longer. The amenities were well maintained showing they care. There are a few issues but nothing that would stop us from returning. Some sites are not level, and very close. Road to get to the campground was narrow and had many poorly patched pot holes making it ruff. What bothers me most is the speed bump with spikes at the exit. Its on a hill and when trying to get over it in a big rig slowly you could roll back accidentally. I wish they would remove this and put in a gate.
The best of the thousand trails campgrounds! This is a very nice campground with lots of room for each campsites, great amenities, well groomed landscaping, very clean and pet-friendly. We really enjoy our stay here and feel very secured with the gate community that this campground provides.

Great coffee shop in the heart of Willis! I really enjoyed this coffee. We got the magnolia and the lily, both iced and they were awesome! I asked for a recommendation from the owner and she was spot on. I wanted something sweet but coffee forward an
Was looking to try a new place and stopping in here. Entering smelled like a country barbecue, smoke smell in the air but very clean. I'm hypersensitive to smoke but didn't react as there was no actual smoke on the air. I had the smoked chicken qua
