Marriott sucks but Hilton rocks in customer service. The Raphael hotel as a Marriott hotel absolutely sucks in customer service. Few months ago one night when it’s really freezing outside after midnight I asked the front desk lady who’s black and wearing glasses if I could stay in the lobby and she rudely told me to leave and it’s for customers only but it’s pretty empty when I told the same to her she didn’t budge at all. This proves that they don’t care about people and morals but only about that green paper.

Nothing but good things to say about my stay here! By far the best hotel experience I’ve had in Kansas City. The front desk was phenomenal and responsive, the room service was quick AND delicious, and the hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous. The amenities were polished, clean, and there’s a classic charm that altogether made for a truly lovely staycation. The location is convenient and right on the plaza, enjoying a drink on the patio before walking around was a nice way to start the evening. The suite was nice and roomy, and the jacuzzi was definitely my favorite part! ☺️ Thank you, Raphael! Lots of love from a local💙 @hairriet

Staycation at the Raphael Hotel on August 10th. The Raphael is locally known for its charm and I will definitely say it has that, but it is very dated and there is a smell in the lobby that comes with older buildings. Limited parking is available on site. At check in you will receive a parking pass for you to put in your car window, so it doesn’t get towed. So be prepared to head back out to your car. Lobby is small, but they have an on-site bar with Live Jazz and a smooth Martini. Our room was was large but it was two doors away from the front desk and lobby, on street level. Some might like this, however I personally like to have my shades open letting the light in. We had to keep the shades drawn and could hear every car and person go past. Plus, I am not sure if it was the pipes screaming or our next-door neighbors having a good time. But, we actually ended up leaving early because I couldn’t comfortably go to sleep hearing people outside the windows. Location is amazing. Absolutely love how close the Plaza is, we were able to walk to our reservation at the Capital Grille in minutes. Overall, we probably won’t be back, the price did not match the quality.

This hotel is a true gem in KC. The location is perfect, as it's right across from the square. The accomodations are luxurious. Even more, the staff are amazing, and offer the best customer service I've experienced in quite some time. Also, the food in the on site restaurant was tasty and affordable. If I ever find myself back in KC, I'm happy to stay here again.

The best of the best of Kansas City! ||This hotel, combines character, class, service, and just overall luxury into one! Plus, it’s got a great location that’s walkable to just about everything in the Plaza area. ||The rooms are well designed, comfortable, clean and well-maintained. The service is outstanding. Every team member I encountered was friendly and willing to help.||I look forward to my next stay!

This hotel goes above and beyond in every way. The nicest most caring staff. The rooms were immaculate and the service was even better. I had coffee in the bar every morning and loved how conscientious everybody is. Honestly, I just have nothing but phenomenal things to say. The rooms are gorgeous. The bed is comfortable. Also want to say that it is probably my favorite US hotel. It’s not too big and it’s still gives all the luxury personal field.

You simply can’t beat the experience at The Raphael! Incredible location, attentive and friendly staff, and beautiful facilities and rooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be back. If you’re in KC, look no further

One of the Top 5 Marriotts I have stayed at. Rooms are large, clean, with every detail accounted for. Location is perfect - within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Staff was professional and friendly. I will definitely be back.
