I stopped by the Pullman Tavern for dinner, and I also wanted to try a beer from the local Rusty Rocket Brewery. They had several local beers on tap, and the one I tried was good. The decor is pretty standard for a dive bar, but the bartenders were friendly and the food hit the spot. I’d definitely stop by again if I’m nearby.
The food was very, very delicious. I got a Tom’s burger (bacon, caramelized onion, white cheese) and it was cooked well. The bacon was good quality, unlike cheap thin bacon typically gracing burgers. The bun was perfect -high quality with good chew. The fries were also fantastic -similar to hand-cut fair fries and perfectly salted. The prices are a a smidge high, about $10-12 for a burger or sandwich (my burger was $11). The environment is comfortable and laid back -it’s an old bar, but a good one. The proprietors are very friendly.
Although this tavern reminded me of the biker bar in "PeeWee's Big Adventure", the occupants were fairly tame and friendly. The owner was bartending and was very welcoming. Sitting at the bar, we watched the "cook/waitress" preparing our lunch right before our eyes. The burger was great, by the way, and he French fries top notch..
Loved this tavern. Great local beer selection. Had the chicken wrap and it was delicious! Cool atmosphere!
Great place! Small town gem. Good music, great food, drinks and service.😊
Pretty typical small town dive bar. Located next to the railroad tracks. Full of the regulars and a few travelers just passing through. Rustic decor, nice people.
The Pullman Tavern is amazing. Great food and even better people. I always love coming here when I am in town.
