We were in town for Aftershock festival and I checked out this spot for lunch, it was definitely worth it! It was a Thursday early afternoon so there was no waiting, we sat down at the bar and the nice lady with cool colored hair served us drinks, place had a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Service was really good and food was delicious, I loved their cornbread, is a must try! My friend had the chicken an waffles and their fried chicken was perfectly cooked and very tasty.

✅ brunch during the week ✅ yummy cocktails ✅ server did ok considering the busy time of year (holidays) and managing our large party with a pleasant attitude throughout 😁 The Porch Burger was ok. Not bad, but probably not something I would order again. We unfortunately were sat by the front door which wasn’t the greatest since they were busy, which meant a lot of foot traffic in and out blowing the cold air our way. Overall I would go back and maybe try more breakfast items, 🙏🏽 away from the door.

Food was reasonably priced for what we got. Bill was just around $100, four meals and two appetizers, I feel like that’s super fair considering the average cost to dine out. Pretty sure if we had gotten some of the alcoholic beverages the bill might have tipped the scale, but fortunately I don’t like the taste of alcohol and the others in my group, were my kids. lol Apart from the unusually long wait, 45+ minutes just to get water, it was everything I expected from them.

The Sunday brunch Brisket & Biscuit was DELICIOUS! We were in the area and looking for last minute outdoor brunch eating and came upon this nice restaurant. Unfortunately, because we didn't have reservations the outdoor front porch area was booked so we sat at the bar and had a great meal. I'll definitely try it again with reservations, the next time I'm in the area.

This is probably my new favorite spot on 'The Grid! I took the whole family here for my mothers birthday brunch because I heard it was a great spot (yes, a little risky) but was pleasantly surprised! It has a warm, welcoming country style ambiance and homey decorating. 0Lets start with the food, we ordered 2 plates of beignets and that was an amazing experience! They loaded them up with fresh fruit, home made jam and of course, fresh fried beignets. I ordered a bloody mary and that was on-point too. More on that later. There were so many amazing selection that I had a really hard time ordering. After 20 questioning the waitress, I (finally) ordered the Brisket & Biscuit. IT WAS AMAZING! I especially liked the kick of spice that they added to the hollandaise and brisket sauce. One of the other things I really liked about the place is that they have a fine list of bourbons and do a tasting event once or twice a week. If I lived in the 916 still I would definitely hit that up! Anyways, if you are in the area I would definitely go experience it yourself. You won't have the wait of Tower, Bernardo's Fox and Goose or anything like that.

California meets the south, and what a tasty blend! We made a reservation for 7 the day before (required a credit card that would be charged $10 if we didn’t show). Table was ready for us during the prime time of brunch. Skye took care of our group, including accommodating one group member with limited time and one with lots of allergies. Super service! Food was fabulous! We ordered all three salads— yum!!! Loved the beignets which made for a great item to share with everyone, and it came with fresh fruit and jam. The mimosas (orange, pineapple, or cranberry) had lots of champagne. Highly recommend the chicken and waffles (if a fried chicken fan). Biscuits are wonderful, but chicken strip a smaller portion. Lemonade is California sweet, not Southern sweeeeet. Tried the vegan stir fry… appreciate it on the menu, but room for improvement (more veggies and vegan pork, please). Great place for one or a large group. Indoor and outdoor seating. Noise level of conversation is high but lively at busy times.

I came here with my book club for Sunday brunch. It was a great location to be able to enjoy our food and discuss our book. We ordered the cinnamon roll, beignets with homemade jam, shrimp and grits, 2 egg breakfast, and lattes. Everything was amazing! I ordered the shrimp and grits which had a delicious sauce, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the grits are cheesy and flavorful. Everyone cleaned their plates. We overstayed our welcome and sort of got kicked to the curb which I'm glad, we needed to leave quickly to free up the table for the server. She was great. We'll definitely be back.

Let's start by saying this visit was on Cesar Chavez holiday Friday & the restaurant had Cooks & servers call out. With that said the place has a comforting vibe. There's a bar, indoor seating, and outdoor seating areas, so if you make reservations be sure to pick your preference. My wife and I where celebrating our anniversary and were graced with hospitality of Sky who took our order's, but before doing so we were informed about the staffing situation so we could determine if we had time to wait for the food, and we did. So we appreciated the honesty, and from there we received our water's with lemon within 4 min, the Mimosas we ordered came soon after. The food came out about 20 min after, so the wait wasn't bad about 30 to 35 min total. Now let's talk about the "Chicken & Waffle", the chicken are strips that are cooked well, not to dry but not dripping wet juicy either. The problem is the chicken nor the batter have been seasoned so it's some really good cooked chicken but bland. Now this Waffle is not Belgian (it's not described as such on the menu), it was dry, thin, and crispy. Since it was hot I coverd it in syrup and the inside soaked it up and became a little moist. I'm not one to send food back because I don't want to upset the kitchen, but I wouldn't order that again. Over all the vibe was great, service was great, but the food fell a little shirt this day. I will return one day to see if I just caught the kitchen on an off day. Hope this helps, thank you for your time and energy.
