The Polynesian Residences, Waikiki Beach - Featured Reviews (337)
I wasn't expecting much as we had previously stayed at a more expensive, closer to the beach and well known hotel in Waikiki however I was pleasantly surprised as I liked this hotel much better.||The room was bright and fresh and had a good feel to it. Comfortable bed with soft sheets. Good sized bathroom with shower, bidet and an exhaust fan which stopped that musky bathroom smell you get with a lot of hotel bathrooms. Cute/small balcony which let in a great breeze.||Location was great as it was amongst the high-end shops and hotels. About 2 blocks from the beach which is fine as it's a short and scenic 5-7 min walk.||Overall, it's a good priced hotel, fresh clean feel and good location
Positive: The location is very good. Multiple restaurants and shops within walking distance. Beach two blocks away. Housekeeper did an excellent job keeping our room clean. Negative: The beds are uncomfortable and a little lumpy. Pillows also not hotel quality. Beds need to be replaced and rooms updated. Uncomfortable bed caused lack of good sleep.
Elevator was hard to work. It was only moderately clean. There were a few things broken. For the price, I expected better. The nice thing is that it was a 2 block walk to the beach. Parking was confusing to find. There were also chairs and beach towels for the beach, which was nice.
The girls at the front desk are very friendly. When we need anything, we feel very comfortable to ask, and they always tried their best to help. The location is close to everything, super convenient. The room is not new, but it's clean and has everything we need. One thing to mention: the street side may be noisier than the pool side.
Basic room and is clean. The building needs abit of refresh. Friendly and helpful staff. Recommend you update your bus guide you shared when I asked how to get to Diamond Head. The bus on your list don't get you to diamond head national Monument at all. The laundry machine is quite old and needs abit of cleaning. The location is very convenient to walk down the main drive or a short walk to the beach.
We booked two rooms for two nights and really couldn't have been more disappointed. Lampshades were dirty and loose. The shower was filthy, the furniture was tired and cheap. The photos were obviously taken when the place was fresh and new. Don't be fooled, and considering the high price, you will feel totally ripped off. It really put a downer on the end of our holiday. Location was great, but bring ear plugs cause the noise from outside is terrible!
Lift needs some work. Rooms very outdated. Renovations not good. Wallpaper on wall near shower peeling. Carpets you can trip over. 1st night nearly froze to death, no extra blankets in room. Had to get maintenance out to get tv to work and phone in room was in repairable. 2nd night party around pool unable to sleep. 3rd night couple having a fight, slamming doors, yelling at each other. Pool area needs some work. Only good thing was light in bathroom. No tea or sugar in room. Would not stay here again.
The place looked nice but when we got in the room it was dirty, dust everywhere and crumbs on the floor. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of noise from the road. Pool was nice but looked dirty.

Shoot was - as expected - amazing. Stunning mastery of technique, patter, and showmanship. Hilarious sense of humour, was great at working the crowd and had a lot of warmth and heart incorporated into his performance, and the story he told throughout
