The Polo Inn Bed & Breakfast - Featured Reviews (21)
The Polo Inn Bridgeport U.S.A. offers a unique Chicago experience with its spacious, Bridgeport-themed suites. Guests rave about the delicious breakfasts and weekend brunches, along with the friendly hospitality of owner Dave Samber. Free parking and shuttle service to local trains and McCormick Place add to the convenience. While the location may not be the most walkable, the comfortable rooms and warm atmosphere make it a top choice for those seeking a taste of real Chicago hospitality.
I game with a group of peers for a violin performance, and it was a great experience. The rooms are cozy and a bit old, but very clean. The toilet didn't flush properly at first, but was promptly fixed. The beds are great. The food is amazing, and I especially like the creme brulee french toast and the mushroom pizza. The people are very welcoming and friendly, and the owner of the place, Dave, was very kind, and even let me play the organ! It was a great experience, and I recommend over any large fancy hotel because of the cozy, home style experience.
We stayed at the Polo Inn for our trip to see Taylor Swift in Chicago on 6/3. Dave and his staff were amazing. We had brunch before checking in, which was delicious, and Dave came and greeted us personally, stepping away from the kitchen to make us feel super welcome. The room was immaculate and super comfortable. Kevin helped us get set up in the room and set up our time for free breakfast in the morning (which was also amazing). We will definitely be returning. I wish I didn’t want to give them such a glowing public review, only for the reason we don’t want to share our secret on such an amazing place in Chicago!
Since 1985 What a great place to have lunch. It looks and feels like you went back in time after entering the restaurant. Outstanding service & easy street parking. The chicken soup was fantastic. Cheeseburger cooked perfectly with a side of tater tot’s. Salads and meatloaf were also excellent. Great place for lunch and looking forward to going back for Sunday “Gospel Brunch” Closed Monday & Tuesday - BYOB - Complementary lighted parking lot BYOB 5 dollar bottle - corkage fee free mixers - Bring your own vodka they have Bloody Mary mix.
My 31 year old son and I stayed at The Polo Inn B&B in July 2023 when we went to our first White Sox game at Guaranteed Rate Field. The Polo Inn was GREAT! Such a convenient place to stay for a nice walk to the stadium. Our innkeeper, Keith, was fantastic! His service, responsiveness, interesting conversation and breakfast prep was excellent. I highly recommend staying at The Polo Inn!
My girlfriend and I were having issues with hotels downtown and the Polo Inn saved our trip. We spent the entire day calling around and when I called, they swiftly had a room set for us. Amazing service and the food was terrific! This is a place you have to visit while in Chicago!
My son, grandson, and I spent two (weekend) nights in the Mayor’s suite. It goes without saying that the breakfast and brunch were great (as a restaurant, the Polo Inn is ranked #1 in Chicago), but everything else was first rate, too. Our three bedroom apartment was clean and comfortable. The place must also be soundproof; the other two apartments were occupied, and we never heard a peep or a squeak from them, or the restaurant below. What especially sets this place at the top of our B & B experience(s), however, is Dave, the innkeeper. For the last 40 or-so years he has developed this neighborhood establishment into a refined and friendly place. Plus, if you’re lucky enough to attend his Gospel Brunch on Sunday (10 to 2), he will regale you with classic songs in his rich baritone voice.
We had an amazing time in Chicago and a huge part of that was Dave and his B&B. 5 adults had no trouble sharing the Sox Suite. Breakfast was amazing every morning and when it's time for lunch or dinner, there are some great restaurants very close by. Dave and his staff are very knowledgeable about the area and didn't miss on any recommendations they provided. Definitely heading back when I'm in Chicago again!
Amazing Italian Villa in a great location! We had a wonderful stay from the welcome wine in the beautiful kitchen stocked with many yummy food items and delicious local coffee to our private, comfy âVenetianâ suite. Don was very accommodating
My son absolutely loves LifeTough Kids Boxing. He is in his second session, now in intermediates and we canât wait to see where the next level takes him. The coaches are absolutely incredible and the time and dedication they put towards the kids
In Chicago and stopped by this place. Grand opening for them. Wonderful people with a great spirit overall. Had a chance to dive into the whole thing of coffee coming from Ethiopia after meeting their African-American roaster of coffee. Lovely time -
I'm writing this review after taking a full year of classes at Vibez. Initially, I bought class packs and then signed up for the monthly membership (8 classes a month) once I knew it was a good fit. Over the course of 2023, I lost more than 20 pounds
Ive been coming to the Garage Gym heavy AF classes for 6 weeks now and absolutely love them! I was previously just doing one class a week and purchased the five pack, but I decided to move forward with a membership to start going multiple times a wee
I recently joined CrossFit Park Ridge and hands down, best choice Iâve made. Very warm and welcoming community. Workouts are challenging and never boring. And coaches are great! My only regret is not joining sooner. If youâre ready and serious a

This apartment was a great find for us. We had 4 adults and 5 kids and had plenty of space to fit us all comfortably. Importantly for our group the kitchen is well equipped - there have been many places we've stayed where there aren't enough bowls an
I tell all my friends who visit Chicago, or move there to check out Fly Club. The instructors are top-tier and it's a privilege to have so much talent in one facility. The spaces are beautiful, and the community is very welcoming. Even if you're a gu
We love Cafe Calida so much. We came here our last two mornings of our trip and regretted not coming earlier. Great menu with delicious pastries. My husband got a mocha and I got a Chai latte and they were both so delicious. Our first morning we came
Pizza was great. I love this style of pizza. Itâs a great place for a low key date night. Prices were extremely reasonable, especially for the quality. It is a family run business, the family has 2 generations of pizza making experience. Itâs a s
