The Plotter Kill Preserve - Nature preserve in Rotterdam - Mariaville Rd, USA

Must see place! When you go, turn left during walking from parking place. You will have 10-15 min walk to see the falls. It is easy but long stairs hike. It is free, no need to get a ticket. Was not crowded on Saturday afternoon. Check the photos!

Lovely trail with an amazing view to get some cardio in. The falls view is a 10-15 minutes walk after parking. (Limited parking is available on site. It just depends on how busy it gets and when you’re visiting.)

Awesome place to go without having to hike forever to reach the water. Huge waterfall within 5-10 mins of walking. It is steep getting to the big waterfall. They have great trails and other water around where you walk. Super cool and worth the trip. Free entry and some parking available but not super big lot so you may have to park on the road. Usually not too busy though.

Nice nature reserve, and the waterfalls are great! the trails lead to a few different sight-seeing areas, with a nice creek that goes through the whole place practically. But watch out because there's dog doo-doo (the three D's), and if you've got a dog, make sure to get them off the trail before they do their business, thanks.

Beautiful hikes in rotterdams back yard! Dog friendly but the cliffs are no joke! Would not recommend if your dog likes to pull you!

Update 2022. Expanded parking area. New trail access added. Easy walk in for all trails now and great access for emergency responders. Fencing added to keep you from slippery trail edges. Great preserve. 4 waterfalls and some really nice hiking. 2 entrances, one on Mariaville Rd, the other on Coplon Rd. If you want to get to the top quick go from Mariaville Rd. If you want to see the bottom of the falls, go from Coplon Rd. Lots of small creeks and pools to explore with the kids. Find salamanders, frogs, crayfish and little fish with the little ones. Dog friendly but there are a good number of them so keep them leashed!

Excellent hiking for all skill levels. Multiple trails. Beautiful waterfalls. Waterfalls are usually dry by August. Be careful with young ones as there are Cliffs and some dangerous areas.
