The Place 2 Be - Brunch restaurant in Hartford - 5 Constitution Plaza, USA

This spot looks super nice inside. Very clean and modern aesthetic. It definitely gives off brunch vibes. The service was amazing and the food looked and tasted super delicious. The portion sizes are very generous!! The pancakes could feed an entire family!!! I would highly recommend this spot for those interested in a good brunch spot, especially on the weekends.

Great food, amazing service and over the top presentation. Worth the bucks!! Highly recommend it for Instagram fans. Parking is on the street side. Not too many may be in busy hours but I easily found during breakfast on weekdays at 8 AM

I was skeptical as my initial impression was that they were trying to be too trendy and I expected pretentiousness. I have to admit, the food was excellent and the staff was really helpful. I had some of the best chicken and waffles I've ever had (it comes with a whole half chicken!) And my wife's omelette was terrific, too. The coffees were good even if they were a little messy to drink. They come with a complimentary rubber duck so, messiness forgiven.

There's no alcohol in the alcoholic drinks, so be prepared to order shots. On a not too busy rainy Sunday, it took a LONG time to get food. Sitting at the low couch and table area made it difficult to eat because they're so low. The atmosphere was cute and relaxed. We had to send orders back upwards of 3 times for things like undercooked bacon, meat on a vegan order, cold fries, undercooked burgers and missing items. The food was tasty. I'd try them again.

The idea and atmosphere is cute but the execution needs work. My chicken and waffles were just frozen tenders heated up. I got my food before my husband and we ended up cancelling his order because we had to get to the airport. Our food came 45 minutes after we ordered. Our black coffee came sprinkled with powdered sugar and drenched in syrup. I would not recommend this place.

I ate a lot here and everything was amazing! This is the place to be at Hartford for Breakfast or Brunch! I started out with a double espresso which was great. I just did not like that they put that sticky cream all over the plate making my cup and hand sticky if I accidentally touch it. Looked cool though! I continued with Eggs Benedict and asked for +4 poached eggs. They were perfection! 😋 My next item was the colorful waffles. I forgot the actual name of it but they were great! You can see them on the pictures below. The only thing I did not like were the pancakes. They were too sweet for me. You can only see the menu on your phone but you can pay with a card if you need to. It’s really easy to put in orders and they came out retry quick! Super cute restaurant. Great staff and good food. Esthetically pleasing for great photos! Staff enthusiastically sang my sister happy birthday. I love that everyone had their own tab and paid from their phone. No splitting the check.

i went here 2 days ago with my mom and stepdad and i loved it! it was our first time in connecticut and it’s amazing, beautiful atmosphere and good food. i definitely recommend this place. in total it was $71 keep in mind that me, my mom and stepdad all ordered separately but still it’s pretty good.
