My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at The Patrician. Our room was large with a large bathroom and walk-in closet. TJ was very nice and helpful, and provided a good continental breakfast. Lemon drop martinis in the evening were delicious. It’s a very unique experience compared to the usual corporate hotel chains. We will be back.

We had an amazing stay at this historic hotel, which combines classic European style with modern comforts. TJ guided us around the beautifully decorated estate, filled with collectibles from his travels around the world. The Patrician Hollywood Universal was a highlight of our SoCal trip! My wife and I will return to this fabulous hidden gem in the Pasadena hills. TJ, the host, was a great source of information, guidance and by the end of our time, felt like an old friend. I’m a frequent guest to the Patrician, and recommend it to my friends and family. The house is a beautiful, historic mansion in the foothills of Pasadena with a stunning view. On top of that, TJ is an excellent host with stories to share and a knack for hospitality. A couple points to be aware of: it is a bed and breakfast, so you may encounter other guests in the kitchen. Also, the area is a bit tricky for Uber/Lyft drivers, and you will need to use a car to get around. Staying at the Patrician is a unique experience if you’re in northern LA. At this point I come just to say hi and enjoy the house. Conveniently located for trips to the Rose Bowl, Norton Simon museum, and all that Pasadena has to offer. Already looking forward to my next visit.

What a wonderful experience! The Patrician is a quiet, elegant retreat sitting just above the city rush. A few minutes' drive up winding residential streets and your world is transformed. The experience is further enhanced by excellent concierge service that anticipates your every need. Highly recommended!

This is my second visit, and once again I am impressed by the incredible service and effort the host has put in. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a tranquil setting to unwind, take a stroll, explore nearby cities, and get to know the knowledgeable and kind host/friend. You will learn a lot about the city and have a enjoyable stay, just like I did.
