The Parlor at Hailey's - Bar in Metuchen - 15 Station Pl, USA

Went here for a jazz event on Valentines day and loved it. The musicians were amazing, the event was well put together, very intimate cozy environment with such a sweet vibe and nice artwork on the walls. the bartender made excellent drinks, perfect balance of liquor and taste, and he was very quick and extremely sweet. Customer service was excellent, everyone was extremely nice and food was absolutely delicious. We did have a long wait on food because they were busy and only had 1 waitress, but it was worth it! I highly recommend this spot. I would visit again.

What a great idea to put an old school arcade in the back of your family friendly bar. They have a bunch of 80s and 90s classic games, some pinball machines and done of those tables with arcade games built into them. There is also a nicely built bar for adults to get a drink at. I'm glad to have them in our downtown. *Edit. This place is no longer an arcade. They converted it into a speak easy. It looks great and they have a local Metuchen brewery on tap. The owner is super nice. It's still worth going for sure, but I didn't want people going expecting an arcade.

Music, great atmosphere, drinks are expensive and small. The corned beef is terrible. Deli corned beef sliced thin. Not cooked in house. Avoid.

Went to the parlor for the first time for much needed beverages and laughs!!!! I had such a great time. I found a new to go to spot! Staff was amazing. Food was great. Jerrold B and friends were awesome! Great comedians! Highly recommended!!! Looking forward to upcoming events!

Great small venue atmosphere. Saw a Classical Jazz Quartet. Really a great setting. Hailey's food is always good.

Cool hidden speakeasy - Had good drinks decently priced and a cool atmosphere. Used to be a barcade but went full craft beer bar / back-end speakeasy recently. Food is provided by Hailey’s Harp which is awesome. We had some beers and apps and had a great time.

Parlor hosted a comedy act Saturday evening July 16th. The comedian crossed the line on many occasions with comments to the audience. I will track to see if this establishment hosts this comedian again, as it will show their integrity on allowing this behavior at their location. They are aware what took place now and cannot claim negligence the next time. Without getting into too many details, his act is vulgar and racist. He spends his entire act picking apart the personal and physical attributes of his audience. It got really boring after the first 5 minutes. There is zero creativity in his act. If you are looking for a clever comic with original material, stay away. Negative rating if for the establishment for allowing this behavior.
