This hotel is in a great location. I grew up in Flushing and lived there for 24 years. I have to visit every few months to visit family, and this location was perfect for quick Uber rides and the subway is only a few blocks away.||The hotel staff are kind and welcoming. The hotel is clean, and water and newspapers in the lobby are welcoming.||However, my cons are that the website advertises onsite dining and there was none. 1/2 block away is the SkyViews Mall that has food options if you don't want to travel. They also have a SkyFoods supermarket where you can get things and there is a small refrigerator in the room. Just be careful of putting anything on the top back shelf as that's actually a freezer. Check out New World Mall's downstairs eateries on Roosevelt Ave that's minutes away walking...authentic asian cuisine. If you want a quick NY pizza, check out Lucia Pizza which is also on Roosevelt right across the street.||The safe in my room did not work. They advertised a microwave, but there wasn't one. Skip the breakfast buffet. It honestly was a terrible offering, and I didn't partake. ||They do have a decent rooftop bar, but it's not very clean, and it's pricey for the neighborhood. The staff are nice, but know that the bar is not part of the hotel. They will not let you take drinks to your room unless it's bottled beer. Also, anyone can enter the bar.||Overall, I would stay again at least knowing what I do now. Price is affordable and location is ideal.
Well maintained, upgraded rooms. Everything in the room worked perfectly. (Air Cond.|electronics, lighting, etc). Room spotless upon entry. Enough soaps and shampoos and towels provided in bathroom. ||Extremely helpful, courteous, highly presentable and efficient front desk staff. Everything starts at the top, so obviously it has an excellent manager and owner to obtain such a well run hotel.||As a recommendation, elevator security - none. Management needs to budget funds and install a keycard entry system within the floor selection panel. Same for stairwell. Other than that, hotel is super.
Great location if you're going to a show. We didn't realize it was an Asian community which was a real bonus when we went out to dinner for some authentic Asian food.
Rooms are dated but clean. The breakfast is basic. Rooftop bar is probably not what you think. It's very small.
The gentleman that checked us in yesterday morning was very pleasant and helpful, his name Aiden.
Rooms are clean beds comfortable and clean.
Breakfast is complimentary.
A decent choice of food
We ended up stuck in New York City because our flight was canceled due to the weather. Finding an available hotel near JFK Airport was impossible, so we settled for one about 35 minutes away with traffic. I was concerned since the reviews were not great. The hotel was located in Chinatown—not the best views or location unless you’re fond of the area. Our room on the 8th floor was very basic; the bathroom shower was run-down, and the bed was just okay.||Breakfast was included the next morning, but we skipped it as it was very ordinary. When we asked for a taxi at the front desk, they called a limo taxi, which ended up costing us $20 more than usual. The driver was terrible, hitting the median wall on the highway, and when we arrived at the airport, he wanted to charge extra for using a credit card. Despite our arguments, he was rude and uncooperative. Beware when the hotel calls a taxi! I do not recommend this hotel.
Window curtains did nothing to block the light coming from billboards outside. Bathroom handle literally came off, but thankfully I was alone and had no need to shut the door. TV was basic cable, and some of the channels just didn't work. Bed was alright, though the pillows quickly proved to be basically air.
Nearby food isn't great; apparently Flushing is not known for its food. However, there's a metro entrance within a 5-minute walk, and that's extremely convenient.
The gym (picture attached) is pretty bad, but it was passable for a couple days away from home.
I wish they had a microwave and more counter space in the bathroom, but this place was so conveniently located. It was clean and comfortable! There were cracks in the sink, but it didn't matter. The shower was GREAT!
Positive: Location is great. Right in the heart of Flushing Queens. Close to everything. the Sky mall is right next door. The staff is excellent. Quick responses when I ask for anything. Water pressure good, nice toiletries, free bfst too Negative: tough to find parking if you have a car. they do have a small underground parking garage, $30or $40 if you can't find street parking otherwise everything else was great! Negative: ""
We loved everything about this hotel. The room, the location, the staff. If ever back in NYC, we definitely come here again. It's a 45-50 minutes metro ride to the city center. The bus station is right in front of the hotel. There are shops and resta
