The Palms On Ocean & Foodmart - Motel in Pompano Beach - 831 N Ocean Blvd, USA

We stayed in number 5, next to the pool. Apparently there are nicer rooms available, but we didn't get one. Upon entry to the room saw that the bathroom light had a fire and wasn't cleaned or painted over. The entire section we stayed in was extremely outdated. Shower floor was cracked and parts of it were pulled up and broken (could cut your foot). The bed was hard and lumpy, no full size pillows, just small ones. There were crumbs along the head board and stains on the sheets. The pool was cleaned only after the owner or employee saw my friend taking pictures. There's no phone in the room, we had to ask for towels and coffee because they never came to clean the room. Check out is 11am and we let a $50 deposit. Called the number for the motel since the office door was locked, we were told we had to wait 40 minutes for someone to come to give is the deposit back. I do not recommend this motel in the slightest. Someone should call the BBB on this place.

This hotel was not my choice ( travel with folks who have the same mentality for where you stay on vacation just like yourself) the room was dated saw a roach on my last night there ( disgusting) . Accidentally locked ourselves out the room the “owner” or whoever manages the cell phone number that is used as the business number charged us $50 to come to let back into the room asked if we could stay somewhere else till he comes in the morning… DO NOT STAY HERE PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!!!!!!!! …. Only holding out on closing due to the multi- million dolly high rises going up around it trying to profit when they should be updating & modernizing it to draw in customer… HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE…. RUN DO NOT STAY HERE… next time I’m making the reservations .. Just TERRIBLE

We had the best time here. The man that works inside the market was super helpful and accommodating. He gave good restaurant recommendations. Rooms were clean and the atmosphere was nice. Place was within walking distance of beach and restaurants. Would stay again!

Not at all “on the ocean” upon arriving toilet was broken. i called late 11 and asked for a late checkout due to waking up late. The man managing the place at the food mart right below us, said no someone was waiting on the room. I look outside and there were three whole cars parked in the parking lot. It was also 11 and checkin is at 3-4. Room was gross, i don’t even know what was on the curtains and don’t want to. The ceiling has holes and had ACTUAL huge flying bugs LIVING in it!!! Overall, not only was the place not clean, and outdated but the service is quite rude and not understanding! I would never come back here again and i would sleep outside in a bush before I did.

Still visiting. We leave on Tuesday.The room is a great size,very clean, comfortable,beds are comfortable. They come in sometime during the day to clean and fix beds and change sheets. Only down fall was they didn't leave any extra towels. Had to reuse the one i already used after I showered. Location is good,about a five minute walk to the beach. It is quite and no one bothers you. You are all amazing. Thank you for a wonderful stay. My husband and i will be back.

This hotel is disgustingly dirty. The bedding was stained, as we flew in late and reserved online we were unable to address the issue with management that evening. After a restless, itchy night we decided to leave even though management refused to offer any sort of refund! We lost out on $900 and had to find a new/cleaner hotel for our own peace of mind! We had planned to stay for 6 nights and enjoy our 22nd anniversary but, this place sucked big time! Online pictures are super deceiving! If the filthy room wasn’t bad enough the highway noise was atrocious and the lights coming in both windows was terrible. Definitely not the peaceful relaxing stay we had planned on!

Positive: I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone... Negative: Entering my room, I noticed 5-6 small cushions on the bed and called to ask for regular sized pillows. The manager at the time told me to Leave and he will refund 100% of my payment of $--- That was the 26th I haven't received my refund 10-31-23 Negative: ""

Room #4… VERY UNSANITARY AND DIRTY! The place smells like mildew and musty old smell! Very run down! There was someone else’s blood on the shower curtain, black mold on the bathroom shower wall tiles, carpet is very dirty, no kitchen sink to wash anything, I had to was baby bottles in the bathroom sink! They only gave 1 roll of toilet paper and 4 towels, we had to ask for more stuff! Very poor bedding, blankets so thin and only 2 of them, pills are so small they are for toddlers. There was white stains on the bed skirts. The towel rack kept breaking on us . The bathroom window screen was off and just sitting there not curtain in bathroom either! The ceiling tiles have mold on them and have had leaks in them! The window curtain had paint all on it. When taking a shower and getting out I still felt very dirty! Their towels have stains all over them and smell really bad! The microwave was very dirt, The room door was very hard to open and close. Very old, outdated and disgusting! Staff was very nice and friendly. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE, not worth $150 a night! Only perk about this place is it’s right on the beach and convenient to everything. They don’t have breakfast or anything like that. Just very outdated and run down! Location is great! The pictures online when booking are very deceiving. It’s nothing like what’s in the pictures online on Expedia. They are way nicer than what it is in person! The pictures of the room looked very clean and nice but when we walked in we were like…. What the heck is this?
