This is the place to stay if you like a dusty room and don't mind sharing with the bugs, both dead and alive! The water pressure is something to be desired.... once the water gets hot. However, I will say the location is nice, its very walkable to the strip and park. The staff was friendly but, we won't be staying there again.
I’m rating this for what it is: a motel in Ohio. The pool is clean, and rooms and bathrooms are clean. Everything is updated on the property and the location is excellent. For the area in the summer the price couldn’t be beat as well. Would definitely recommend.
Came in town for a wedding and the venue was booked when I tried to get a room there months before. Made a 2 night reservation at The Palms and when we got there the room had just been mopped so all the floors were wet. Bathrooms were tiny, cobwebs in the corner and grout had some growth on it that looked like mold. Cell reception was awful and my phone wouldn't even detect their office wifi. Was not impressed and figured I'd give the venue another shot. Luckily they had a cancellation and i was able to stay there both nights. Unfortunately, because we had the room for over 15 minutes at the motel (most of which we spent outside because of the wet floors and strong cleaning chemical smell) we were not able to get a refund. Not even for the second night. Overall would recommend looking elsewhere.
You get what you need for staying in GOTL. Updated motel that is nicer then most rentals on the strip. Our air conditioned room was clean with little bath minis and coffee and coffeemaker. I have to say though, the bath towels were very rough. There is a nice little swimming pool we enjoyed before heading out for the night. The Palms is a 12 minute walk to the center of the strip. It was all we needed.
my kids and i wanted to surprise my husband / there dad with a fathers day gift. we never been to gotl nor took a vacay. whoever i spoke with was truly amazing and understanding! for a family of 7, we were so happy. the rooms were so nice. they were clean. the prices are great. they had a pool! so close to everything. im so grateful i found this place. thanks everyone at the palms! if we ever go back again to gotl we hope you have a opening for us because you guys are and will always be our new vacation place to stay!
This was the second time my husband and I stayed here. We both really love this place. It's far enough away from all the noise of the strip but close enough to walk to the strip. The beds are very comfortable. The pool area is very nice. And I hugged a palm tree. Looking forward to coming back next summer
Small run-down motel in good location. Walking distance to The Strip and nice park right on the lake
Great location. Nice pool. Rooms are very small, especially the showers and contain bare necessities. What is in your room at check in is what you’ll have a check out. Had to go ask for clean towels and toilet paper. It’s just a place to sleep. Be sure to take a hair dryer and hangers if you wish to hang your clothes.
We have been renting weekly Summer vacations here since the early 1980's. We always come back because it is beautiful, historic, and we are treated like family. Great access to both Lake and Strip activities. I personally love that while the Strip ma
First-time vistor. We sat at the lunch counter. The waitress said they were short staffed, but we didn't notice. Service was quick enough and friendly. They were hustling. Hamburger and fries was perfect and was exactly what I was craving. The tuna m
Nice park at the beginning of the strip. Baseball field basketball court kids play area. Right next to the Geneva on the Lake sign. Peaceful place to walk around and get some fresh air. Get your picture taken at the G O T L sign. If you're a family w
The bread. Get the bread. It is amazing! Seriously - you cannot go wrong with the bread. Great service and wine too. Also - you can cut sunflowers to take home. Just ask the bartender for a pair to borrow if you forget your own. Mine are still flouri
