I had been at The Palm several years ago, and I remember how great experience we had then, so much that we decided to go celebrate our wedding anniversary there this past weekend. The nicest person they had was the hostess. She is super classy, helpful, and a big beautiful smile on her face ... she showed us our table, and we thought it would only get better from here, right? Wrong! It took a solid 6 minutes for our waiter to come to greet us. He was like "oh I hear you're celebrating your birthday." I said no, it's our anniversary, he laughed and said oh same thing! I said, actually, it is not, but thank you! He offered us the wine menu, and we kindly declined as we don't drink. He then proceeded to tell us the specials. Gave us our sparkling water and left, pretty customary. Easily 10 minutes passed, and we hadn't been offered bread or anything, then another waiter came to our table and asked: have you guys been given any bread?! We said no, not yet. He was like, "Would you like some?" We said, "Oh yes, please. Another couple/family came right about this time and sat at the table across from us, and they were getting all the things on time, all the attention, etc ... the way it should be ... my husband and I are just sitting at the table looking at each other in disbelief of the difference in service. I guess the waiter we had has an assistant, and he came and brought us lemon slices [we asked for them more than once] and in a very playful mode he was like: Oh so and so is old and slow, I am here to help! We smiled back and thanked him. The main server returns, and he takes our order, including appetizers. He refills our water glasses ... we get our appetizers within decent time. They were 💯 delicious and tasty, and in fact, I told my husband: I could make this my main meal, and I would be so happy After we were done with appetizers, it took easily 30 minutes to get our food ... the family sitting across from us were on their desserts by the time we got our food ... the steak was tasteless, we could tell they forgot about us, and it felt as if the chef rushed, threw the steak in the broiler for a couple of minutes, and brought it to my husband ... completely undercooked and, again, no flavor, I've had better quality steaks from frigging Costco, honestly. My fish was okay, the presentation was lacking big time, there was no depth in the taste, no particular notes stood out, it was just blah fish with a few strings of crab meat in the middle, 4-5 sad pieces of sparragus and a decent dipping sauce. The mushrooms were very good, very tasty! The mashed potatoes were also very good, very flavorful - these 2 sides were far better tasting than the protein in the main dish ... The assistant to the main waiter came to check on us, brought us another bottle of sparkling water, and I said, "Please be careful. [I saw him handling it rather roughly] you’ll spill it ... prophetic words, my friends 😆, he spilled it all over one side of the table. Thankfully, my bag or phone wasn't there. It took a 4th waiter to notice that we were done eating, and she came with a very pelasant attitude and offered to pack our food ... We ordered dessert, a cream bruleé and 2 cappuccinos... both were decent, just decent ... the person making the caps tried to make a shape with the foam, and it's not his forté, but thanks for trying. The young lady who brought us desserts was very nice, by the way. The bathrooms needed attention, at least speaking of the ladies'. There were no toilet seat covers in the dispensers, lots and lots of water on the countertops, and the soap dispenser has seen better days, it wasn't pumping soap right. Overall is a 3, maybe 3 and half stars ... nothing to be impressed by, frankly. Hopefully, this honest feedback helps them improve the experience they give to their patrons, especially if they make plans to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, or special milestones in their lives. Will I go back? It's a maybe ... and if I do, it won't be to celebrate something special

The Palm never disappoints. Delicious food, service, ambiance and free valet! Thank you for a lovely experience to celebrate my work anniversary!

We were there for end of year celebration dinner. We ordered A5 wagyu beef 8oz for $129, we specific asked it to be medium cook. the waitress bring out 8oz of fat that slice thin. it was looking rare cooked, and by the second bite it was cold already. that 8oz is not an A5 wagyu cut. it is more like a peace of fatness with less than 10% meat stick to it. they might as well cut an 8oz of fat and give it to you rare and call it a5 wagyu that you paid for $129. it was nasty to eat, because it is cold cow fat. the plate is cold too. the presentation is underwhelming, they basically slice some pieces of cow fat and serve it to you. we were concern about the restaurant reputation as a fancy restaurant in town, so we spoke to Nick the manager. He basically said if you do not like it, we will remove it from your table and your bill. He brushed it off, and did not want to listen to our comment. It was never about the money, we paid full price. We were concern about the service and the food quality and concern about the business stay in business. We would never come there again. Service is not that good, the manager is indifferent, and the A5 wagyu beef is nothing but piece of fat, literally. I was afraid eating it all due to risk of heart attack right there.

Went there with my coworkers. Shared the 4 pound lobster with them. Was a little disappointed with the clam pasta (linguine and clam sauce)- lack of taste.

So my wife and I visited The Palm for our anniversary. Needless to say for the money that I paid was disappointed. I will start with what was good. The complimentary valet parking, the jumbo shrimp cocktail and the raisin bread. Everything else was not worth the cost. The salad was just ok! The steak that I had was burnt on the top and my wife's steak which was supposed to be medium and looked less cooked than mine. The broccoli raab was not good at all. The 3 cheese potato au gratin was basically bland even though it was supposed to be 3 cheeses. The top it all off our waiter was let's say different. He actually reached across my wife's plate while she was eating to give her a soda and he actually came to our table an was coughing. I wish our experience was better. I expected that the food and service was going to be great but it was fair/poor!

We set a reservation for a party of 6 and specifically asked for separate checks. The food itself was average, the steak was good, but the fries were badly made. The steak tartare is not a steak tartare, but chunks of meat, good meat, but not in any sense a steak tartare. Our waitress Monia was very good and professional. I can't say the same about the manager Nick. As I said we had asked in the reservation separate checks, but the restaurant does not do that. They have a stupid policy about that according to the manager, even so when I asked for a solution he suggested that I could use the calculator on my cell phone, once this was our problem. What a shame for a manager. For a restaurant that shows itself as a high end with a high price, it shows itself as a low quality management and hardly high end food.

I have not been to the Palm in Tysons Corner for a while. We had a group of six tonight for our holiday dinner and I ordered the sea bass with jumbo lump crab. I honestly have never had a bad sea bass this was so underwhelming I couldn't believe that I was at the Palm. It tasted as if it had been frozen and it was also almost as if they could not spare any lump crab I think I saw three or four little pieces on my fish asparagus was not cooked well just completely disappointment for $50. There are plenty of other options in Tysons Corner for delicious food I have to say this really turned me off from coming back to the palm.

We come once a year, and it’s always a great time. Bill Syed took care of us this time, and he’s fantastic. Great food, service and such a unique atmosphere.
